  1. If I read the ingredients of everything I eat and compare them to the list of unsafe ingredients, am I ok to eat it if it's not on the list? I've been gluten free for 6 days now but for the last 4 days I've been constipated. Am I constipated because I'm getting glutened? I've changed my diet completely, I've bought a new toaster, I haven't eaten in a restaurant...
  2. I know I haven't been gluten free for long, only 5 days now, but I've noticed that I haven't gone in 3 days. Is that normal once you start eating gluten free? The first 2 days of the diet I still had the D, but now nothing . Should I be taking something to help me go?? thanks Rachael
  3. I just started the gluten free diet 4 days ago. I'm feeling very down, discouraged and just don't feel like doing anything. What vitamins (if any) do you suggest I take to make me feel like I used to. Rachael
  4. Hi, I was wondering if there's anyone on here from the Montreal area? I'd love to know where you shop for specialty foods. thanks Rachel
  5. I've been on the gluten free diet for 3 days only and I'm trying to figure all this out. I've been noticing that most "regular" chips have no wheat or what is considered gluten. Does that mean they are gluten free or what I'm wondering is could there be a good chance of c/c ?? I just dont know anymore what's good or not thanks Rachael
  6. I've read the ingredients and can't figure out if Jello puddings and powered Jello is gluten free. What trips me up is the flavoring? Does someone know for sure? thanks
  7. The anesthesia was difficult, I was so nauseous and throwing up. I guess I just need to rest. thanks
  8. When I told my parents I was diagnosed, my mother right away pledged to me that she was going to go gluten-free with me. Although i had to wait a month for the biopsy before I started the diet, my mother went right into it, and she's been gluten free for a month. She says she feels so much better and that her rashes are gone. Do you think it's ok...
  9. Is it normal to not feel well after the biopsy. I had mine done on Wednesday and I'm still not feeling well today. I have tenderness in my belly, sore in my lower back and I'm just not feeling energetic like I used to thanks Rachael
  10. I've been reading alot about people being glutened. How quickly do you feel the results of eating glutens? Will what I ate yesterday affect me today or is it an instant pain? I've only started eating gluten free today, but i'm so in pain right now with cramps and D. thanks Rachael
  11. I'm newly diagnosed, got my biopsy done yesterday so today I start the diet for the rest of my life . I'm down about 10lbs since September, and the Dr. yesterday said I would continue to lose for a bit until it stabalizes. Did you lose weight, how much? Rachael
  12. I don't have to do a cleansing the day before. All they told me was that I was to be fasting for 6 hours prior to the procedure. My husband is coming with me, thank God. I'm so thankful that he will be there. Thanks everyone,
  13. I'm getting a gastroscopy biopsy on Wednesday. The nurse told me they were going to give me drugs to relax me, but I'm so worried I will feel everything. I was wondering if anyone had gotten this done and what you felt about it. thanks Rachael
  14. Hi, I've been a diabetic for 26 years, I have thyroide problems and I've recently tested positive through blood tests for Celiac Disease. Next week, I will have a biopsy done and I was wondering if there was a chance that the biopsy could be negative. According to you, does positive blood test pretty much confirms Celiac Disease?? thanks Rachael
