  1. "Costco raw nuts are also processed in a nut only facility (the ones in the bags). The roasted nuts in the jars in the snack section are processed on shared equipment so if that bothers your son you might want to steer clear
  2. Hi there, I have been doing some research on probiotics and celiac disease. It seems that probiotics with bifidobacterium lactis would be very beneficial for those who are celiac. So, does anyone have any experience with one? The only one I was able to find on my internet research was called theralac. Has anyone used this? Are there any others brands of...
  3. I am wondering if anyone knows of a gluten free oven cleaning product? I have been militantly gluten free for over a year and my levels are still elevated. I am trying everything! So, have limited all cleaning agents to, of course, gluten free products only, but do not know of a good oven cleaner. Please help! Thank you!
  4. Thank you for your response. I guess I was confused by the names of the tests? So, tTG IgA is not the same as IgA? This is so confusing. Maybe I can get her to prescribe me the other test so that I can feel more confident in my progress. I have just been working so hard and if I am making mistakes I don't want to wait another 6 months to find out. Esepcially...
  5. My symptoms before going on the gluten-free diet were random and many constant extreme exhaustion, REALLY REALLY low energy, depression (probably because I didn't have enough energy to live a normal active lifestyle), headaches, constipation, GERD, anxiety. Post diet includes kind of exhausted, kind of low energy, some headaches, some constipation....you...
  6. What type of doctor should I have monitor my celiac? Currently, my general practitioner has just been prescribing any tests that I tell her I need, but she knows nothing about Celiac disease. I had an endoscopy by a GI doctor, but other than that, have never seen one before or after the endoscopy. So, are there specific types of doctors that I should have...
  7. I was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue in late August of 2008 (via blood tests and endoscopy). My diagnostic TTG IgA test was leveled at 157. I was just retested and now my level is 65. So, my doctor told me that I must be doing a good job with my gluten-free diet as my number has clearly dropped, but everything that i have read has said that it should be at a...

  9. I am a newly diagnosed gal with Celiac Sprue. I, as I am sure most everyone else who is first diagnosed, has been grieving the loss of a "free and spontaneous" lifestyle. Traveling to far off places has always been my dream. And the thought that I have now been stopped by this rediculous disease has been a difficult fact to digest (no pun intended). I know...
  10. I am newly diagnosed with Celiac Sprue and having a tough time finding medications that are gluten-free. In particular, I need a birth control pill to help manage endometriosis. When I call the drug companies I always get some form of..."the starch in the product is made from corn, however we cannot claim that it is entirely gluten-free because we do...
