  1. First quick google gives malnutrition as a likely contributor TO hypothermia. Obviously more homework to be done.
  2. cheers yolo. I'm glad it was work that kept you quiet, I was wondering if you had worsening "glutened" syptoms and were down. How are you feeling now? Cheers Lori T. That is exactly what we though we had in he UK. That is exactly what I found in both myself and hubby due to the absence of half moons on our fingers, so I have started...
  3. I Knew it..our celiac symtoms sound very similar, now the Taz connection, we Must be sisters. I Love this idea. Could you do it for you younger brother too? I will tell you why. The more I discovered my problem the more I could register the same symptoms in my husband. He was very cynical about the wheat being so dangerous..I don't think...
  4. It is no more than you have done for me Hon. You are Welcome. One of my ex-boyfriends used to call me TAZ. (You know the tazmanian devil off the cartoons.) He said I was the most laid back person he ever met but once, every 4 years, I would lose my temper and when I did..I was like the TAZ in a tailspin. All snapping teeth and venom. I plead...
  5. Ah, just a though, before I go to do my homework.. When I came into the threads I asked about seasonal crash. When I was looking at the threads yesterday I noticed nearly everyone saying they dreaded this time of year and the felt ill and depressed, spotty and down, the whole tone of the forum seems to have changed. I think we collectively...
  6. I was distracted last night worrying about you, you sounded like you were in a real bad place. Looks like I was right to fret! How are you feeling now and how long do your symtoms usually last? I believe that the longer you are off the wheat and the more you cleanse your system the harder an accidental glutening hits you. Your reaction is certainly...
  7. Aw yolo honey. I feel so sorry for you I wish I could give you a big hug. It is SO soul destroying. I can feel your distress and I am gutted for you. I think you should have serious words with your brother but not at the minute because I can hear that you have really hit a downer and when you feel like that things get said that would be better...
  8. This wasn't the one I am looking for but I came across it so I thought I would pop it in for you. Still looking.
  9. yolo, I picked it up in one of the links I was in at the weekend but I was in a lot so don't worry if I cannot find it straight away. When I do I will bring the link for you. There was not much info but it clicked in my head because I think I did something similar to my son by stopping breast feeding early. Funnily enough, I was in a similar...
  10. mysecretcurse, couple of things First regarding the soup. I have been wheat-free for ages but I made chicken soup from scratch the other day and got glutend. I never thought about the stock-cubes having wheat in them and I am supposed to know what I am doing. I have just done it that long I forgot. Old habits are hard to break second...
  11. yolo, have you read the thread about babies being given a sort of immunity from celiac disease in the Mothers milk/flora. The link I picked up said the protection is most esential in the first 3 months of the infants life. You crashed at 4 months. We start weening babies at 4 months and a lot of us start with toastie soldiers, bead and butter etc ...
  12. A Quick ask before I do myself any more damage. I have just picked up some cod liver oil capsules and it says the capsule shell is modified starch, is modified starch Wheat? artselegance, I never really had a DH rash until I came Off the wheat. My Mom always had it. The Docs told her it was psoriasis. I picked up a link in a celiac spure site...
  13. Sorry I have been a victim of my own ineptitude and cut the thread off mid flow. skinnykid, just to finish, I started b12 about 3-4 weeks ago and all the signs have been positive, energy and lighter thoughts definite improvement. hope it helps you feel better too but get it on it's "own" if you think you may have a yeast problem. (To soon to know yet...
  14. mysecretcurse...my sympathys friend, That is exactly how I feel. For most of my life with the onset of winter I either wanted to hibernate or emigrate. While I lived in the NE UK I blamed it on the low sun/cold, lack of natural vit D. I emigrated to Spain, which has the highest sun levels and most warmth in Europe I expected a lift but unfortunately...
  15. The more I learn, the more I worry about That specific point. I started looking at my family, then my friends and picking out recognisable celiac symptoms in them and it is damn scarey. It suggests a lot more than a simple genetic magnification of the fault. I checked out those links over the weekend and so many things fell into place. I think...
  16. Cheers aikiducky and yolo about the buckwheat, I shall chase up the dremamin again at the weekend I just wasn't sure about buckwheat. Cheers Ms. Skinny Chic that is an excellent link. I have cut my b complex out and put the b12 with breakfast..and am pleased to report back to normal colours. Phew.. Cheers yolo. I cut the b complex out for...
  17. Wow. I just thought I was wrong or I was picking something up wrong. Your repeat symptoms didn't show up after you started taking the alfalfa did they? Research on my nerve problem said it could be from an undiagnosed nerve disease (which I think is all down to the celiacs) Or a massive immune reaction happening in my body Or if I was on immune surpresants...
  18. I bought liquorice sticks in the UK last time I was there. I will put some on the list for my next visit. I got them because they are supposed to be good for your teeth and help with sugar cravings..(my achilies heel..) I like them...but I like candy liquorise More.. Funnily enough..when my nerve damage got better and I increased the exercise...
  19. yes.. I am hoping that if I get my stomach healed I will be able to substitue some things in naturally because if I had to take the supplements forever the cost would be prohibitive. Looking at how the l-carnitine and b12 they both seem to work in a very similar way so I am hoping to use one or the other. I know that I must have been short on b1...
  20. Sorry yolo..I must have posted over you. I looked at the low adrenals and I have to say I was excited by it because it sounds exactly like me but I did the blood pressure and temp checks recommended on stopthethyroidmadness site and decided it probably wasn't. I checked out Armour..only available on prescription and Dremamin. Dremamin put me off...
  21. Cheers Fiddle-Faddle I have just had time to read the link you posted and it could certainly be significant. I have always said that when I sit outdoors in the sun-shine I can feel my batteries recharging I may have been more accurate than I thought. Before going wheat-free I had tried supplements for skin and energy problems but never had any noticible...
  22. Cheers Fiddle-Faddle. I thought it was vit D problem when I lived in the NE UK, winter light levels were low but I expected to see a difference when I emigrated to spain because it has probably the best light levels in europe..but it is just as bad. I am not supplementing vit D. Maybe it is something I should look at. Cheers MSAU22 I have been...
  23. Hi everyone. Cheers for all the excellent information I have managed to pick up from the site. Now I have a question that I haven't managed to find in any of the threads. Does anyone else get a seasonal crash? When the seasons change..winter to spring..but especially autumn to winter I have a really bad reaction. My skin goes to pot...
