    Soy Lecithin A New "no-no"?

Thank you so much for writing this Thread! Soy and Soy Lecithin has caused me trouble for sooooo long. I eliminated it early on and it is such a bummer because so many foods have it in it. Almost every chocolate bar has it

    "tough Love" And Illness...

Thank you all for this thread; I just got back from my mother-in-laws for a labor day BBQ. I often feel uneasy when I go there, I feel as if they do not believe that this is a real disease, I try to explain that my body actually starts to attack itself hence but it never works. They don't actually say it straight out to me but I don't feel that they are on my side either. My mother in law likes to bring up a study that she heard about that says that people can get over there allergies by eating the food that causes allergies in small doses everyday. I want to shake her and tell that she is crazy but I reminder her that it is so much more than a mere allergy. Today when I walked in she had 2 loaves of homemade lemon pound cake and several homemade muffins sitting out on the island of her tiny kitchen with a fan blowing right on them toward the door. I got so spooked that I held my breath walking through the kitchen and stayed out of there the entire time. My Aunt-in-law got testy when I asked her how the baked potatoes were made and what spice was used on them. I don't mind that I choose not to eat so many foods, I just wish other people wouldn't get edgy with me about not eating foods with gluten. It doesn't bother me but for some reason it bothers them. Sorry this post is so long, thank you for letting me vent. Emily
  3. Oil of Olay soap got me I only use Dove now. I called the company before using it and was told that it did not contain gluten. I used it twice and became very sick, it took a few days to get over the reaction. I find that for me, lately, gluten sneaks up in the products that I use (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc...)
  4. Does anyone know of a face lotion that is gluten free? Thnx!
  5. Does any know if Pert Plus shampoo/conditioner contains gluten or not? I've become so sensitive I need to check out every product before I use it.

What's Up With My Symptoms Getting Worse?

Are you taking any medication? Medications and OTC drugs can have fillers that have gluten.

That sounds very helpful, what is compounding and how did you locate a compounding pharmacist?
  9. I'm wondering if anyone has had trouble with Labetalol. I've been trying to find out if it may have glutenous fillers (can't figure out what I am doing that is kicking up the celiac disease). I've asked to switch to the non-generic form called Trandate which I have been able to confirm as being glutten-free. If anyone has experience with Labetalol from EON Labs now Sandoz please let me know. Thnx!
