Just thought I should let you know that I found a black octagon shaped wheat cookie in my bag of Gluten free Pecan shortbread cookies. I emailed Mi Del and described the cookie to them and they confirmed that it was wheat. They told me that they use the same holding bins for the wheat and gluten free cookies and there must have been some wheat cookies still... -

I purchased Mi Del Pecan shortbread cookies, ate almost the whole bag, and there was a black octagon shaped cookie at the bottom of the bag. I didn't get sick that time, but I had suspected getting sick from them before. I was concerned about what the cookie was since I had never seen the cookie in their gluten free line. there have been quite a few gluten-free items that I didn't find very tasty...but my top three worst would have to be the products that claim to be gluten free but aren't! Definitely NOT a burnt cookie. It was small black and octagon shaped. It looked like the same kind of dough that is used for an oreo type cookie, however it wasn't shaped like one. After we ate an entire bag of Midel Pecan Gluten Free Cookies I found a black octagon shaped cookie or possibly cracker (I am pretty sure it was a cookie).
