  1. Hi, Do you also get small raised bumps on your skin that appear where you itch and go away in a few minutes? I get those all the time and I think they are caused by release of histamine which is a chemical that your body makes when you are allergic to something. In this case your intestine could be inflamed and that's what causing the allergic reaction...
  2. I'll probably get blood results for celiac at the 22nd of this month so I'll find out then if I have it or not. If I'm not a celiac then candida could be what I'm suffering from since the symptoms are similar. I just hate how long this all takes, you just know that you have to wait at least a month just to be disappointed by the results and have to start...
  3. Hi, I first thought I was a celiac but now I've leaned more towards leaky gut caused by candida or some other thing (gluten doesn't give me problems). My symptoms are mild headaches, irritation, sleepiness, lots of dandruff, loose stools or constipation, food intolerances, brain fog, bad short time memory, lack of focus, a bit of acne, some migraines,...
  4. Wow, I'm on the same side here. I started gluten free a week ago and so far my stomach is a lot better. But the downside is that I'm really tired the whole day just like before, even worse than usual. If I don't get any caffeine (which actually aggravates your intestine more) then I'm practically asleep. I think I've had this intolerance for my whole life...
  5. Great answers. So far I've got digestive enzymes and some probiotics. The enzymes include something that's supposed to sooth the intestine and speed recovery. I also have a multivitamin and b vitamin. I even dug up some L-glutamine that should strengthen the immune system and is also an important nutrient for the intestine. I was going to get some lactaid...
  6. Okay, I have not been officially diagnosed but felt much improvement to my stomach and bowels after cutting out gluten. Most of my symptoms are still there though which I think are contributed to my ,,colitis'' or ,,leaky gut'' from the gluten. In fact I'm not sure, but it can't hurt to make extra precautions (that's one of the dilemmas of self diagnosis...
  7. Wow, guess what. I talked to my doctor and it turns out, he tested me for wheat allergy but not gluten intolerance (OMG). He didn't find out any other allergies so I'm putting my money on gluten intolerance. Now I have to wait a month to get results. You weren't kidding when you said there was a long hard road to diagnosis.
  8. Tomorrow I'll call my allergy doctor to find out if I'm a celiac or not (I hope he tested me, I didn't expect gluten at the time). To be honest, I actually wish this to be true, just so my life will improve (how sad is that?). I don't know when this all started, I've been like this since I've remembered but always suspected something was wrong. So now I'm...
