My daughter is just turned 10 and was diagnosed 2 1/2 yrs ago.She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 6 and it was a huge adjustment but,celiac disease made it 10 times harder.From day 1 of diagnosis, she has been sooo strong. MY DAUGHTER WAS DIAGNOSED 2 YRS AGO AT AGE 8. THE GASTROENTEROLOGIST COULD NOT WORK HER IN FOR 5-6 MONTHS SO, I STARTED HER ON THE GLUTEN FREE DIET. (SINCE YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SO SOON I WOULD WAIT.)
