  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I tended towards C but had become regular thanks to enough yogurt! Now, two months into gluten-free, I NEVER go. Can't figure it out! I've tried adding fiber chews, eating salads, eating yogurt...nothing. I'm actually MORE bloated and miserable now. If you have any good pointers, please share. Thanks!
  3. My first two weeks off gluten were horrible!! I couldn't keep my eyes open and was taking two naps a day (I NEVER nap). I found that I slowly started getting more energy during the third week. Now, I feel pretty normal again (two months in). Just give it some time. It will get better!
  4. Thanks. I've been to several different fertility clinics, and all asked out the DES. Other than low hormones and antiphosolipids, I have "infertility of unknown origin and recurrent miscarriages for undetermined reasons." Helpful, huh? My husband is from Colorado, BTW, and we still go in the summer to visit. LOVE IT!
  5. Oh, I know!! I just learned last night that I need different cookware. I bought I separate toaster for me today and replaced all of my cosmetics, lotions, soaps, shampoos, gels, and hairspray. Too bad I can't get back all of the money I spent on doctors!!! Oh geez, hadn't thought of the Crockpot...or the wok...or the....
  6. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago (around 33), but am suspected to have becom pre-menopausal around age 27(by my doctor). I am one of those Celiacs with a history of miscarriages (6), and was hoping that now, at age 35, maybe I would still have a chance, since we still have no children. I have been hopeful (only been gluten free for two months) that...
  7. I was just wondering -- for those of you who were diagnosed with premature menopause (or experienced signs of it) before going gluten free, did you return to normal periods after or seem to "recover"? I have used bio-identical hormones for several years because of it, have stopped, and am hopeful now that I am gluten free. Am I hoping for too much??? ...
  8. Hmmm...will try the higher magnesium. Also, I just found out that I glutened myself on Saturday, which is when my daily migraines (and joint aches) started again . DUH!! I guess it will take some time to get used to this .
  9. Thanks to all! I initially noticed a difference, but the migraines have returned. Tiffany -- what are you doing for your neck? Daily preventatives (Topomax, sectral, etc.) and migraine meds (imitrex, treximet, etc.) do not work on me; in fact, they all make mine worse. Magnesium has not helped either. So discouraging!
  10. Hi! I am from South MS, too -- Biloxi. Is there a group here now? Thanks, Angie
  11. Hi everyone! I'm new here and new to Celiac. I have only been gluten-free since the very end of May (2009). My question is if anyone else suffers (or has suffered) from migraines, daily or otherwise. If so, has the gluten-free diet helped with the frequency or with the intensity? If so, how long was it before you noticed a difference? I'm so ready to...
