Forgot to add I found gelato in the supermarket over there as well, it's called ValSoia and it's sooooo yummy. The one I bought was chocolate and vanilla. Your daughter won't have a problem finding gluten free products over there, as they have a huge range, more than us here in Australia I'd say. I think a lot of the gluten free products here are imported...

I have just come back from my 9th trip to Italy and I'd have to say that the Cinque Terre is one of the best places I've been to.
