    I'll take a look- thanks.
  2. Me too!
  3. I know this is an older post, but in case anyone does a search and is looking for information, Margaritaville at Mohegan Sun is not only an awesome restaurant, but has little symbols on their menu of each meal that can be ordered gluten free. I got the nachos and they were HUGE and delicious. Hope that helps.

Hi- Looking for a thyroid doctor (endocrinologist) in CT that also has experience/knowledge of Celiac's/gluten intolerance. Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.
  5. Does anyone know if Mr. Boston liquors (specifically the coffee flavored Brandy) are gluten free? I have searched and searched on the internet for an answer, or even just for a phone number to contact them, but didn't come up with much. Figured I'd check- someone out there must know!
  6. My "last supper" was fettuccini Alfredo and tons of bread at our favorite Italian place, the night before my endoscopy. And, I agree with others- if there ever is a cute for Celiac's, I'm going to gain some serious weight stuffing my face with all the foods I miss!
  7. I heard really, really good things about "Ultimate 10 Probiotic" that's manufactured by the Vitamin Shoppe. The label says it's "wheat free" but I know that it can still have gluten in it. I am going to call the company (since the gentleman at the store didn't know), but their customer service department is only open Monday through Friday, so I thought...

    ARCHIVED Bloating...

Never heard of them- where can I find them?
  9. thinks restaurants shouldn't offer gluten-free menus if they aren't really gluten-free!

  10. Personally, I received "Gluten-Free Cooking For Dummies" as a gift when I first became gluten-free and I love it. It has a lot of recipes, but also is extremely informative, too.
  11. Hi all- Just wondering if there is anything you all have found to relieve the bloating that comes with being glutenated? I ordered off a gluten-free menu at a restaurant today, but got sick right after leaving the restaurant and have been sick (gassy, abdominal pain, and lots of bloating) all day. I know from prior experiences that it will pass-...
  12. Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to resond
  13. I had my blood work done on Friday (including the genetic test) and I have my endoscopy on Monday morning. I'm super nervous for it, partially because I don't know what to expect. Any words of advice, encouragement, or things to keep in mind?
  14. I felt terrible too, but I NEED to know if I have to avoid any food that might have gluten, or not. I told the doc that I'd give it a try and if it becomes unbearable I'll quit. I just hope that about 5 to 6 weeks is long enough of eating gluten to get an accurate result- don't want to do all this for nothing!! He also is doing the genetic test, and...
  15. Went to a specialist today who is wants me to eat gluten until my endoscopy on Jan. 25th. He said to eat one "normal, gluten containing meal per day". Of course, my natural instinct is to go and get Chinese food or pizza, but I'm scared to death that I'll wake up at 3am and run to the bathroom. How exactly do I handle doing the gluten challenge...
