    Our gastro doctor told us that you either have it or you don't. There's no little bit. They probably hit an area that hadn't been infected to much yet.

    I would have the whole family tested. This is a hereditary (sp?) disease. The celiac blood panel is the first test. If your daughter doesn't like needles (most dont) put some Oragel (yep!) on the crook of both arms (that way you're covered). It really does help !

    Hi My son has been dx'd a "celiac" for about 4 years. What you have said about the diahrea is something I went thru with him. Chapped and bleeding sores on the bottom was a big problem. The doctor thought it was a yeast infection. We then went to lactose intollerance. He was positively diagnosed after his second biopsy when he was ten (thank goodness...

    My son was mis-diagnosed as lactose intollerant at 2 years old. It took the gastric doctor until he was 10. He had his first celiac bioposy at 3 which came back negative (they actually got a healthy tissue). Poopy diapers were a nightmare. His bottom would bleed. Since he's been gluten-free he enjoys milk, ice cream and cheese (his favorite).

    Just wanted to share an idea that I received from a farmers wife. When you boil veggies or potatoes save the water after you're done. Put it in a freezer bag or freezer container and pop it into the freezer. You now have a soup or gravy starter. We boil our chicken and ribs before barbecuing. I also save this water for a soup starter.
