  1. I never had problems with dairy, but when I started gluten free after about 2 weeks I became intolerant to the dairy and now I am feeling much better. Just a thought, hard but worth it.
  2. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long it usually takes to get the results after mailing it in??
  3. Okay my husbad just doesn't see how you can really get sick from crumbs or how when plastic spoons, etc can harbor gluten even when washed in really hot diswasher water. He thinks I am going overboard, but he will be supportive if I explain to him. I am going to try to be extra careful and get some new utensils and see how we feel, and hopefully these...
  4. Okay fill me in please. My son and I are in the process of being diagnosed with celiac sprue. We are doing MUCH better, but seem to be going through small phases of upset stomach/diarrhea. Yesterday I bought us a new toaster. I know my husband will use the baking pan on all of our food. What about baking pans, skillets, etc?? My husband has some kind...
  5. Hmm they wrote on my lab work the blood test, questionable for celiac not for diagnosis??
  6. Okay I've made a few posts like this, but my GI doctor decided to run the gene test on me, not really sure why, because well he still said it doesn't always mean anything. These are the testing I've had done and the results....positive IgG and IgA, but negative ttg. Had a scope had inflammation and some errosions healing. Responded VERY well to diet...
  7. You are right it doesn't really matter. So for me what tests would you reccomend from Enterolab?? I think I will wait until next week when i get my gene test back if that would matter or not?? Yes my gliadin was positive, not super crazy high but positive. A high ANA is normally NOT Celaic though right??
  8. This is one thing I've started to experience and I never had it before going gluten free.
  9. When I first gave up gluten I was already off dairy and soy for my 7 month old daughter I am nursing. It seems when I first gave it up my symptoms esepcially the nausea that I had so bad got better right away. I decided to add dairy back after a week or so, now 3 weeks later I am not feeling as good as I did at first. I am having the nausea and stomach...
  10. Well I have not been officialy diagnosed. I had a stroke and a positive ANA test, but nothing found.
  11. I believe I tested positive for IgA and IgG, but negative for TTg. Negative biopsy, but positive diet results, so he is going to do the gene test. I had a stroke in Nov., as a healthy 25 year old it was a shock. No risk factors or reasons found for the stroke. I've also had joint pain (since I cut out gluten, ironically) and positive ANA, but have had...
  12. After me discovering my issues I decided to also put ds who is 2 on the diet. He has chronic loose stools, would stool 5-7 times a day. No gluten has GREATLY helped this, yesterday NO poop, which is UNHEARD of for him. He never use to complain of a tummy ache, but no now multiple times a day will tell me, "tummy hurts". At first I thought it would happen...
  13. I've decided to completely cut out gluten. My GI is unsure if it's celiac or not, but I saw positive improvement so I am going to stick with it. I have 2 of 3 positive blood test but negative scope for Celiac. My GI just ran the gene test on me last week. I have a few questions about food labels. My main symptom is nausea and stool problems. Last night...
  14. So is there a chance this could signal something else besides gluten intolerance?
  15. I had some positive blood work, I believe positive IgG and IgA, but negative tTG. Haven't had symptoms for very long, had other health problems that lead me to do testing. Had a negative scope. Would you reccomend the whole Gluten and Celiac Panel or just the genetic gene test?? If I know I am making some antibodies, would this tell me more?? Thanks...
  16. I noticed both my boys who had lots of food intolerances both had curved toenails. I just checked and my 4 year old does not anymore. My 2 year old, who has chronic loose stools I just took him off wheat. His are still curved....interesting.
  17. So can a positive gliadin IgG Antibody test mean something else then?? My Gliadin IgA was 8M it said <7 is negative 7-10 Equivocal and >10 is positive. I was just trying to see if these results could mean something else?? However I am responding the diet, it just took longer then I thought to start to feel some change. I mean I felt a little...
  18. I think the IgA isn't so specific if I remember right. What about the IgG?? Also would Enterolab be much good if you had positive IgG, IgA, but a negative scope. If it matters I think I figured it out very early only had symptoms a couple months, because of some other health problems was looking into it. I was going to do the complete panel, but am...
  19. I had some positive blood work for celiacs, the GI doc said not extremely high numbers, but positive nonetheless. I had an upper GI scope today. THe doctor said there was some erosion in my stomach, that looked to be healing. I didn't know how common just from looking through the scope that they can say yes that looks like celiacs. Or is it common...
