  1. The Gastro didn't say much other then that we need to do the biopsy to really see anything. Modern technology being what it is, despite myPCP emailing my bloodwork results, she didn't get them and couldn't comment. I am tentative about this. I have been sick a very long time. When your sick for unknown reasons for a very long time, you stop looking for...
  2. He just said that he thinks it could be borderline celiac. I saw the gastro today. She scheduled me for the biopsy next week.
  3. I am not bashing doctors but lately I wonder what they would of done if they didn't have blood tests. How did they ever diagnose anyone before blood tests? I h ave had wacky symptoms and tests lately on different levels but one little test comes up and I am declared as nothing wrong. My mother prompts me to ask: if there was no such thing as blood tests,...
  4. That actually doesn't surprise me as the cure is easy, diet change. There is no money to be made for pharma. UNLESS, they wanted to come up with a gluten blocker pill that would let celiacs eat gluten. *smiles*
  5. My guess is not necessarily. It would depend on your diet. Also men tend to have less problems with iron then women. In fact usually the opposite problem. Also, vitamin C can affect the absorption of iron supplements. So you should try to avoid both at the same time. There are just a lot of factors to consider.
  6. Thank you for your kind response. I am not sure, as I am so new to this too. All I know is that it is a immunglobulin serum A that came up high. Which must mean one of our doctors is wrong! I hope not. Any input from anyone who understands these tests is greatly appreciated.
  7. So I have been doing some reading, does having a negative giladin and ttg but a high immunoglobulin A mean I don't have celiacs? Apparently the Immunoglobulin is just used to see if your deficient, which sways makes the other tests present negative.
  8. I am glad to hear that your dr was open to it. Mine surprised me with it. I get random stomache pain. Funny you mention the morning. Mine seems to be worse in the morning. But I was pregnant, lol. Some mornings were so bad I would be curled up in the fetal position, like I had been kicked in the gut. I always thought it was my meds. As soon as...
  9. So the obvious celiac tests that I can pick out are deamidated gliadin abs, iga which was 2.6 t-transglutaminase, iga which was 1 so considered neg but immunoglobulin A, QN, serum was high at 438. I need help with that one, can't find much on it. other tests that were abnormal: Vit D low, put on the 12 vit d therapy. wbc high at 11.1 neutrophils...
  10. I think you have to view gluten free foods the same way I tell people to view vegan foods. I know some vegetarians and when people try meat free products they usually turn up their nose. This is the same reason many people fail a vegetarian diet. It is the mind set. I said you have to view it as a whole new ethnic form. Stop trying to replace foods...
