  1. I've never had a problem with tapioca flour/starch. I use it all the time. I have noticed two things though. 1) too many starches in a baked product gives it a strange taste, and 2) almost all Bob Red Mill products do not taste good.
  2. I made cheesecake brownies a couple of days ago and it called for 3 t. of guar gum. What is the difference? I went ahead and used xantham gum but I really wasn't sure if I should have done that. Can you use one for the other? (They turned out at least! )
  3. No breadmaker...all by hand
  4. Anybody missing real bread? Or am I the only one? I am a big bread eater...and am missing it big time! This is only day 5 being gluten free and I have baked all sorts of breads, and they all taste...well...gluten free I really don't know how to describe that taste...but it is not very yummy! Anybody have a really yummy bread recipe? I am desperate...

  6. Salvation does not depend on whether you take communion or not. If you can't handle any wheat, then it's not worth taking a risk.
