  1. I'm just going off my Enterolab results. My ttg level was in the normal range, as was the malabsorption part. It was just the IgA that was elevated. Does all that mean there wasn't any damage? I'm still new to figuring that stuff out. Also, my casein level was normal. I am realizing as I type that that's different than lactose issues, though. I haven...
  2. I started this gluten-free diet three weeks ago as a result of family history of health issues and Enterolab results, not because I was having any significant ones of my own, especially not digestive issues. However, I have noticed increased digestive problems... bloating, gas pains, etc. with today being the worst. What is going on? I didn't have intestinal...
  3. First off, I agree that you should see an allergist about your reactions. Such quick reacting allergies are nothing to mess around with. My son has to take an epi-pen whenever we leave the house due to nut allergies. Secondly, I find it interesting about your suffering from M&M's. Yesterday, I felt so yucky. I even posted on here about a brand...
  4. Today I had some frozen french fries with the label of VIP. The ingredients looked fine. Their website just addresses that allergens will be stated in the ingredients. I left a message with them but no return call yet. I just want to make sure there's no CC. I ate some today and feel yucky. Could just be from it being "junky" type of food. Googling...
  5. Those warnings are frustrating. I had to quit buying their brand of shredded mozzerella because of a nut warning. Nuts...aroung cheese? It was a lesson in having to read every. single. product label.
  6. Where do you buy your whole grains? I've ordered sorghum from Twin Valley Mills. I'd like to get quinoa, millet, and teff. I could probably start out with small packages to try. If I like them, I'd rather order in bulk. Thanks!
  7. I'm thinking mainly Asian stores, how many of you buy ingredients there? What do you buy? I feel a little leary about doing that. It's hard to know how to trust anything on a package I can't read and from a company that is less accessible to public scrutiny. It sure would be nice to be able to utilize this source, though. For what's it's worth, I wouldn...
  8. Thanks for the input! I called Barry Farms and they could not tell me any info on nut contamination since they just repackage it. However, Twin Valley was able to tell me that there would not be any nut contamination since they don't handle nuts at all. And their prices are better, as you indicated. Thanks! It's hard to remember to keep both gluten...
  9. Open Original Shared Link Because of nut allergies in our family, we cannot use Bob's Red Mills. I am really wanting to get some sorghum flour but will have to order. This site says they are gluten free and nut free. The prices seem reasonable compared with other brands. Has anyone tried them? I'm not expecting it to be like the superfine versions...
  10. Yay! My library has this! Thanks for the recommendation!
  11. Thank you so much for the encouragement! It's good to know that what I am feeling is normal - about moments of denial and being overwhelmed. I think some of it stems from the fact that I don't have those commonly linked symptoms, at least I don't think I do. I may find out differently the longer I am gluten-free. I AM thankful, though, to have this info...
  12. I have highly sensitive gluten-intolerance, so I know from personal experience what a blow a body can take with it. -- see my answer to your forum post for the rest . . .

  13. Am posting this privately as well as on the forum -- hope you see it -- hope it helps.

Gluten-intolerance can become just as damaging as full-blown Celiac in many ways. Also, many highly-sensitive gluten-intolerant folks experience stronger symptoms than some with Celiac, so please know that the problems you are facing are just as strong and just as real.

    I have highly sensitive gl

  14. I'm new here and to gluten-free in general. Brief history: After some reading and realizing family history, I decided to do testing through Enterolab. The results indicated elevated antigliadin (?), no damage or malabsorption. Gene test showed no celiac gene but double copies of gluten sensitive genes. My family history is: maternal grandmother - life...
