  1. Just read your post, right here is the best support. I have found lots of answers and ideas. Research on line, go to your local health food store. Hang in there I have been gluten-free for 2 months and noticed a difference in days. Good luck.

  2. By chance, does anyone have a lead on a GI Doctor or nutritionalist who can give me some help with my new Gluten free lifestye. I must be doing something wrong because I don't feel I am any better at all. I have lost 30 lbs and am lightheaded and weak most of the time. I have got to get some help.............thanks in advance Don
  3. To say I am disappointed with my GI Doctor, is an understatement. I have been waiting 2 weeks for the results from a blood test for Celiac's and hope to get the results tomorrow. After an endoscopy 3 weeks ago, he said He was 95% sure I had Celiac. What really chips me off is that yesterday I got the bill for the blood test which was $798.00. I don't...
  4. I completely understand your frustration. I am gluten free now for 4 weeks and if anything, I feel worse and not better. I do have moments however that I feel OK, but they seem far and few between. On a positive note, I have lost 35 lbs. which I needed to do. I try to keep that in the forefront of my thinking. If I let myself think too much about how...

I assume the tummy will get back to normal in time. What I wrestled with initially that I am beginning to give less energy to now, was the fact that bread, pasteries, pizza, etc. were off limits. I loved...
  6. One of my weaknesses, prior to diagnosis, has been Blue Bell Ice Cream (a Texas brand). I hate to think about giving it up. What is the verdict on ice cream from those of you with more experience at gluten free??? thanks in advance for your reply.........
  7. Peter......Thank you so much for your quick reply. Something else that has come to mind since my diagnosis, is that 30 years ago I was diagnosed with "chronic hives" The doctors said it was most probably a food alergy but could never narrow it down exactly. I have taken various antihistamines daily since that time. If I were to miss a day, my hands (most...
  8. Good day to you! I will try to be brief. Age: 64 Sex: Male........Generally in good health, diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004 but cancer free since that time. Just diagnosed with celiac's. In mid December 09' thought I had a stomach virus. Throwing up and diarrhea. The nausea with away after a day of so, but have had the diarrhea since.....Have...
