  1. Congratulations to both of you! Getting the diagnosis seems to be a hurdle for so many even though more and more is known about celiacs. Once you find a good doctor, stick with them. If you are not sure of the one you have check with your local celiac sprue chapter and seek one that has a better understanding of the disease. My battle was for my daughter...
  2. Coping with the depression that can accompany celiacs is certainly concerning. I agree with Jillian that anti-depressants combined with counseling tend to produce the longest lasting benefits. Forcing yourself to get out and around during the day to maximize your vitamin D intake is also important.
  3. My daughter went off to college three years ago after having been diagnosed with celiacs in high school. It was a daunting experience for all of us. This situation was further complicated by the fact that she is an athlete and was required to live in a dorm with minimal kitchen facilities her freshman year.
