  1. I'm assuming the Entero lab testing is for the celiac gene. If it comes back negative does that mean a person definitely does not have celiac but just gluten intolerance? How much does the testing cost and how is it done?
  2. I'm kind of new to this and wondered about reading the labels on food. Can processed food contain gluten even if the label doesn't list wheat or any of the other ingredients that can contain gluten? I had a bad reaction to Lays Sour cream and onion potato chips, but nothing was listed on the label and on their website it says that they're gluten free, although...
  3. I agree. I was tested after being off gluten for 3 weeks and everything came back negative, although, like you my stools finally were normal. It used to be I could see everything I ate the day before in my stool, so much undigested food and the stool was light tan colored. My doc said the same thing, that not a lot of healing would happen in 3 weeks, but...
  4. It's probably just your gallbladder problem. Lots of times it takes months for the body to adjust to gallbladder removal and your bowels will be way off. Diarrhea after eating is the most common complaint but your bowel problems should resolve in time. Eat a bland low fat diet for awhile, also.
  5. That is just incredible that all those health problems resolved after going gluten free. My blood tests were negative, but I had been gluten free for 3 weeks before the tests. I'm just staying gluton free also. I don't want to make myself sicker just to satisfy a doctor.
  6. Would a jar of mixed nuts be somehow contaminated with wheat? The label read only the nuts, nothing else even added. At a support group meeting someone said to buy a block of cheese and shred it yourself because sometimes the pre-shredded is mixed with flour so it doesn't stick together. Wouldn't that have to be on the label? Also if corn torillas only list...
