  1. Hi, I'm allergic to soy but don't have any symptoms from it. I've been avoiding bob's red mill products due to their manufacturing in facility with soy. Anyone out there who is able to tell when they've been "soy'd" used BRM without any problems?
  2. ChristieKate, Ok, here's what my dad wrote for you. I've included the english, so YOU know what it says, and if you want anything changed or added let me know. Also, my dad discovered a website Open Original Shared Link click on International Zone link on left hand side of homepage. Has info for celiac tourists. I hope all this helps! Let me...
  3. ChristieKate, No worries. I'll get you hooked up. I'm half portuguese (my dad is from Portugal) and I speak Portuguese fluently. My written portuguese isn't so good, as I never had to write in p., so I'll contact my dad and have him type something up for you, so you can show it to waiters, etc. It is helpful to know some Spanish, as Port. and spanish...

  5. I just received a detailed response from Trader Joe's regarding their nuts. Please note that in addition to gluten, I am allergic to soy, dairy, and egg, which are the other allergens they are referring to below. Hope this helps someone! Our Trader Joe's Raw Almonds are made on shared equipment with wheat, milk, peanuts, tree nuts and soy. Our TJ...
  6. For what it's worth, I spent hours online researching nuts I could eat (I've got other allergies in addition to gluten), and found nutsonline.com They are certified gluten-free nuts (and other stuff, too). Their nuts are processed in dedicated gluten-free facility, which is important to me. However, their nuts are on shared lines with dairy, egg, and soy...
  7. Skylark, Thank you for your reply. So when you say raw unprocessed meats, does that refer to stuff I would buy from behind the counter, and the guy puts it on the scale, or meats that are already packaged and frozen? The problem with beans and nuts is that I have looked at the packaging for both, and been to companies websites, and they always seem to state...
  8. Hi, newbie here. I purchased a whole bunch of flax from Premium Flax company. Their label says Gluten free. I called them just to be sure, I've been a little more paranoid recently, and asked how they know it's gluten-free. He said they only process flax in their facility and they grow it themselves in North Dakota. Then I asked, out of the blue, if they...
  9. What about meat? I am pulling my hair out trying to find meat that is gluten-free, as well as soy free. I'm also wondering if I'm corn sensitive, so even trying (if possible) to not eat meat from corn fed animals. What do you guys think---if one has a soy allergy is it necessary to stop eating meat that is fed soy containing diet? Thanks for any help...
  10. I'm sending this out into cyberspace hoping there's a help on the other side. I need help. I am totally and completely overwhelmed and confused. I'm gluten intolerant, but it's not clear if I'm celiac (negative blood test, but positive for both genes for gluten intolerance, and positive stool testing from enterolab). I am also allergic to soy, dairy,...
