  1. So I shouldn't worry? I was just concerned because I have seen foods labeled "gluten free" that also have natural flavoring listed as an ingredient, so I was concerned.
  2. On the "Unsafe food list" I printed here it said something about natural flavoring possibly containing gluten depending on what it is made from, but I didn't really understand fully what it said because I was kind of confused. Can someone explain?
  3. Okay I will check out Freecycle.
  4. And is there a complete list of all gluten free hygiene items I will need? Thus far I have: Toothpaste Mouthwash Face wash Facial moisturizer Shampoo Conditioner Sunscreen Hand soap Chapstick Things I am not sure about: Hair gel Hair spray Hand sanitizer Nail polish/remover Make-up Deoderant What else might I need to replace?
  5. Hi all! I just have a few quick questions: 1. Does anybody know of any good gluten free unscented hand soaps? 2. I am not sure, but does make-up have gluten in it? I have had horrible acne for years, and no matter what I try it never goes away and even though I don't wear make-up a lot I believe when I do wear it it affects my face a lot. Soon I would...
  6. I haven't been out to eat for months and at that time I didn't know that I should be totally gluten free.
  7. Next time I see my doctors I will ask for copies. How long does blood work take? I can't imagine it would take a month to test fir vitamin, minerals, and blood sugar, especially when there are several labs nearby. What is lower "normal" range? Is it good?
  8. But how can I get the tummy troubles (when eating out) even by simple things, like a piece of fruit or small non-dressing salad?
  9. I am going to combine two of my questions in one post. 1. Does anybody have adverse reactions to bad fats? I don't know what all the bad fats are, but I find a lot of things that have a lot of grease will make me bloated and give me stomach cramps. For example most of the time I cannot eat: potato chips (unless they aren't fried), sometimes corn/tortilla...
  10. Actually, I did have blood work done about a month ago to test vitamin/mineral/blood sugar, but my doctor never called and told me the results like she said she would... I can only assume everything was normal, like usual.
  11. I had some kind of tests done in May. They were in-depth tests and they came back indicating that something was amiss, but my endoscopy was totally normal. I even have the pictures! Unfortunately I do not have a copy of my test results.
  12. Hi all! I am still somewhat new here and haven't posted a lot. In August 2010 my GI doctor told me I might have gluten intolerance/sensitivities. From what I have read a lot of people with Celiac/gluten intolerance have deficiencies in vitamins and minerals. I have blood drawn a couple times a year and they always come back fine. No anemia, thyroid fine,...
  13. So, for what it's worth, I may as well have Celiac?
  14. What is the difference between Celiac and plain intolerance?
  15. So the only way to get the records would be to go there? I don't have an appointment for months. I do have my own little snack cabinet to keep my foods from being eaten but it is too small for cookware. What about baking dishes? I bought some baked good mixes to try, so would I need my own baking dishes too? As for condiments and such I have sunflower...
  16. How will I know if they are getting higher? The last time I saw my GI doctor was in August 2010 and he said I don't have to see him for another 12 months. Although I do still have bloating/cramps, it is not as bad as in the summer. Can I still have Celiac without showing any damage, or is it just non Celiac sensitivities? How can I tell? How can I get those...
  17. Yes, my positive result was my latest result, but that was back in June 2010 and yes I was still eating gluten when I had the two negative results. I was told not to change anything until after my endoscopy, which was back in August 2010. I don't have the information on my tests other than I had my last blood test done late May 2010 and the results came...
  18. I had two regular blood tests come back negative and one in depth blood test come back positive. Why is this? My doctor said to come back to see him in a few months. Since I started eating more gluten free I have not had as much bloating/cramps and it doesn't last long, but I have still had some. Admittedly I have not gone totally gluten free because...
  19. Hi all! I am not new to this site, but I think this is my first post. As I didn't see a "new members" forum I thought I would post here. I am 20 years old and last year I was tested for Celiac. The blood tests came back indicating something was up, but the endoscopy showed no signs of damage. There is no family history of Celiac, so my doctor said maybe I...
