Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism in winter of 2007.
Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in summer of 2009.
Diagnosed with Celiacs Disease in spring of 2010.
The reality: I've always had a gluten intolerance but didn't know (it's in the DNA) which later caused development of 3 auto-immune diseases. Which auto-immune disease I developed first is unknown. Diagnosing an auto-immune disease is far easier for the average doctor to do than to diagnose them with a gluten intolerance. This is so unfortunate because if the intolerance was identified early on the disease could be avoided. Auto-immune disease is the 3rd leading cause of death when all of them are combined. There are over 140 AI dieseases. AI diseases are surpassing heart disease in the leading cause of death.

Hi, I recently found out I have Celiacs and I also suffer from RA and Thyroid disease. I am very allergic to dairy so have already been avoiding that as well as beef, lamb, cranberry, sesame seed, and peanut runner. So now that I found out about my gluten intolerance I have switched to gluten free. Unfortunately the traditional gluten free standards only...
