  1. I share your angst. I'm feeling pretty awful tonight and I'm not sure if it's something I ate. I had Amy's Low Sodium Lentil with Vegetables (and it tasted really good, I'll give it that) but I started to feel sick afterwards. It felt more like an MSG type feeling but given that I have CFS and Fibro and Gluten issues I sometimes don't know what is causing...
  2. I have IC issues and Vulvodynia issues. The vulvodynia issues magically started going away over the last year or so. Not sure why other than I started supplementing with Vitamin D. After so many years of torture I hardly let my mind even wonder why I just say thank you to fate. The gluten-free attempt I'm making now SEEMS to be helping my bladder. Today...
  3. I just (like five minutes ago) ate Boars Head Natural Casing Beef Franks with Boars Head Vidalia Onions and French's Yellow Mustard on Udi's Bread. The bread fell apart when I bent it into a Hot Dog bun shape BUT just the taste of the franks, onions and mustard was enough to make me VERY Happy. Boar's Head Sauerkraut is also gluten-free (I believe - I'm...
  4. I can add that I e-mailed Sandoz over a week ago (filled out the form they provide on their website) about their generic ambien (zolpidem tartrate) and haven't received any reply. THAT really frustrates me because I'm trying to go right to the source. It's 10mg's beige round with Z P L on it. I called the pharmacy and the pharmacist said from what she...
  5. Thanks for the information Lisa and for calling them! That was nice of you! I guess reading labels is still the most important thing. If you just pick up a box or a jar of something without a label check something could go wrong. The boxes I saw were probably Kosher but for the life of me it's not very evident. I'm somewhat familiar with Kosher...
  6. Ok I went BACK to the store and checked every inch of that box. It doesn't say Kosher on it anywhere. I studied it for like 5 minutes. So I'm not sure what is going on. I also had a slight reaction to the dip and chips last night (lays) but that could just be because the onion gave me heartburn (no diarrhea). But honestly, I don't see Kosher anywhere...
  7. Ok guys, LOL. I just walked two miles to recheck the box. Ok, first I decided that the local bodega would probably still have the old formation and it did. Ingredients: Onions, Salt, Cornstarch, Onion Powder, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Caramel Color, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Monosodium Glutamate, Yeast Extract, Natural Flavors...
  8. Hi to everyone by the way! I should clarify that when I read the label it said Yeast Extract (Barley). It actually said BARLEY on it. I wasn't extrapolating that Yeast Extract is Barley. I would have had no idea Yeast Extract could be bad but it actually said Yeast Extract (Barley). So they were living up to their promise of listing Gluten ingredients...
  9. I'm tempted to drive BACK to the store to double check the box but I swear that's what I saw. I was mightily disappointed as well. I'm craving chips and dip. I used to LOVE Golden Onion Lipton but read that that one had wheat so I decided to go with regular Onion and then I saw the Barley on the label. I have to say if what I saw was correct, I don't understand...
  10. I'm also confused about this. I had a strange experience upon embarking on the diet. After 3 days of being gluten-free I broke out in this wierd VERY ITCHY bleeding rash. I only had a few. One on my arm, a few on my legs, etc but boy did it itch and it didn't look like anything I've ever seen. Now I have scars where they were that are taking very long to...
  11. I'm new to the Forum and new to having to go Gluten Free. I thought Lipton Onion Soup Mix was Gluten Free. I've looked up so many products I'm not sure where I got that information, but when I went to buy it I read the label and it said Yeast Extract (Barley). So I'm assuming it's not Gluten Free anymore, if it ever was. Also, was wondering how to do...
  12. Thanks for the link. I will definitely check there. I just got off with my pharmacist. She checked my 3 main pills and said she felt from what she was reading that they were all OK. Qualitest which makes the Valium I take said they didn't add gluten but couldn't tell me about the fillers for sure. She said what she was reading in the ingredients sounded...
  13. Hi all. I'm new. I have lots of questions but will hold off till I read the forum. I'm sure alot of questions are answered there. However, the big one is that I have had a blood test that was negative, a biopsy (supposedly - the doc never showed me the results or even if the biopsy was actually done. He said it was) that was negative but when I sent my stool...
