i just moved back to Iowa City (retired from US Navy after 20 years!). I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2002, been gluten-free since. I would like to link-up with any support groups in the general Iowa City region. I've been living overseas for the last 10 years - moving back I can't believe how much gluten-free items are available now. amazing... -

I had no idea that there were people like me that were obese because of celiac. I find that if I eat low carb diet I can really loose, but if I try a diet on the peramid I don't loose at all. I guess that is probably because I am getting some gluten possibly. who knows. jane
