  1. My TSH was 3.6 and I am trying to get my sister to get tested for Celiac. She has been on thyroid medicine for almost two years and her symptoms are not getting any better. Once I have the money I plan to get tested for Celiac, Hypothyroidism and Hashimotos.
  2. Thanks for the advice about creating a new post to look for a new doctor! I don't know why I didn't think to do that. I added a new post to the Doctors forum.
  3. I show signs of hypothyroidism and Celiac. My mother and sister have both been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. We all go to the same doctor and my TSH levels are high according to the new ranges but he will not diagnose me. I need to find a new doctor that knows more about hypothyroidism and celiac. Can anyone recommend a doctor in the Cincinnati, OH area...
  4. It is so nice to know I'm not the only one out there!! I really hope this improves quickly with the gluten free diet. I have only been married for 5 months now and it is really putting a strain on our marriage. My husband is extremely supportive and he doesn't deserve me lashing out at him over the dumbest little thing. My poor puppy doesn't deserve it either...
  5. I live in Cincinnati, OH. If anyone knows of a good doctor in the area please post it here!!
  6. Is there any connection between celiac and episodes of extreme anger? I don't really know how to describe it but I notice that I get extremely angry for days at a time. The other day it seemed like every little thing annoyed me. I would scream at my husband for the dumbest things. I knew I was being irrational but there was nothing I could do to stop myself...
  7. I believe I was last tested for hypothyroidism in January (2010). My TSH was 3.6 and my doctor said that was normal. My sister and my mom have both been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have TSH levels higher than mine. We all go to the same doctor so I would think he would see the connection between all three of us but he doesn't. I have done A LOT...
  8. Thanks everyone for replying!! I am married and have my own house so I do my own shopping and I can easily keep my gluten free foods separate. My husband is extremely supportive and will eat mostly gluten free with me (except for his snack section of the pantry!!). The biggest problem is when I go to my parents for holidays. I think I will try to go gluten...
  9. I did start to feel a little better when I was gluten free. However, I think I convinced myself that it wasn't working because as everyone knows it is extremely hard to be gluten free. I started to miss all of the gluten filled foods I used to eat. Also, my family wasn't making it very easy because they didn't seem to try very hard to understand or learn...
  10. I am new here and looking for some advice. I am 25 and have always been healthy until recently. I have been going to my doctor for over two years now trying to figure out what is wrong with me. These are my symptoms: Fatigue Gas Bloating Constipation Weight Gain (I have always been under 135 lbs but recently got up to 150...went down to 130 rapidly...
