  1. I missed beer too. After a while you'll forget what 'real' beer tastes like. I enjoy RedBridge - It's the most like a 'real' beer in my opinion. I have also developed a taste for Bard's it's more toward a dark beer, but it's pretty good. I don't care much for the ciders. IF I'm in the mood for cider I like StrongBow.   2. Most wines are safe, but port wine is not. As far as the wheat-glue in the barrels thing, there is no way to track that, short of calling every winery you're going to sample wine from, so I don't worry about it. I have tried a lot of different wines and port is the only kind that causes a gluten reaction for me.
  3. That isn't true about the distilled alchohols. The only alchohols I've found that don't make me sick are: Kahlua, rum and tequila. It's a major bummer.
  4. Stay away from blue cheese dressings, and a lot of imported/foreign mustards are not safe.
  5. We recently went camping by the Guadalupe. We took some camping stoves and made fajitas with corn tortillas. Later that night we roasted marshmallows, and the next morning we had little smokies for breakfast, and then hot dogs for lunch. (We warmed our gluten-free bread on the stove.) We also packed things like fruit, breakfast bars-gluten-free of course...
