  1. Mine was actually for another round of bloodtests, it hadn't yet got to the biopsy stage. I have however been to see my doctor and she's referring me to a gastroenterolgist (sp?) who specialises in coeliac disease and I will probably be having an endoscopy once I've seen him. It could be weeks before I end up seeing him though.
  2. Had my first ridiculous doctor moment today. Dr: "I was told this was an emergency appointment, this doesn't seem like an emergency appointment!" So I blurt out "I'M BLEEDING WHEN I GO TO THE LOO!" Dr: "Oh... this seems like an emergency appointment!" And then after looking through my negative blood results and asking about all of my symptoms...
  3. Well the challenge has beaten me! I've decided I can't do it any longer as the really nasty symptons have kicked in. It's really not worth it... At least I tried I guess
  4. So I managed to have a good time in France despite feeling awful. I had more than one pain au chocolat for you Skylark I have suffered for it though. Mouth ulcers, bleeding tongue (???????), severe cramps, extremely painful bones??, major fatigue, constant headaches, itchy patches of skin rash and I seem to be drifting off into daydreams like no-one...
  5. Thanks again for ever more interesting facts and experiences. It's day 3. Been my first day back at work. It's been pretty unbearable. And all in time for my birthday/holiday! At least the gluten challenge gives me a good excuse to stuff my face with french pastries! (I have to look at the bright side! hahaha)
  6. Great replies from everyone - I appreciate all of your personal experience. I have to admit... I'm feeling majorly crappy already. Ulcers, headaches, joint pain... and I'm only 2 days in... Ah well, I'll see how it goes!
  7. Thanks for the response! So sorry you had to go through that! I'm thinking if my response is that bad I would most certainly not last the whole challenge. Just the thought of having a final diagnosis one way or the other is enough to keep me going for now.
  8. New here... So I've been ill on and off for a pretty long while... well, long to me, but not nearly as long as some of you guys it would seem. I had a number of seemingly unconnected problems over the last 5 or so years, that was until they all presented themselves at once a couple of weeks ago. After a bit of research, some sort of gluten intolerance...
