    Sorry but as I said I live in the UK and I am FROM Ireland. So I have spent a lot more time eating out here and living on a day to day basis. To put this into perspective the last time I had a gluten-free sandwich in Starbucks was a year ago as they never have them in stock ( not in the city I am in anyway )

    I really don't think that is true about Ireland not a lot of people know about coeliac disease or gluten free. To find someone that has even heard of it is very far and few between .

So many times I have heard its gluten free when I would find my soup swimming in barley, we personally find if you say gluten-free you have to list what that is dont take for granted that they know what gluten...

    Hi it was smirnoff ice the mixed drink. In the UK it is ok but not in the USA. I found online it said it contained malt the bottle in tiny white text had "malted beverage drink " so tiny didnt even notice it on the label .

    Some of you might have seen before I went on my holidays that I was in a panic about things eg food and getting to toilets. I am very happy to say everything went perfect on holidays. I only touched the Imodium once ! I never thought of checking the bottle of drink that I get here in the UK as it is gluten-free here so I had a reaction to it in the USA...

    its such a relef to hear that we are renting a villa in the Disney area. I was in a panic the other night that there is no toilets around the car park area of it

    Are you SURE he is the one you want and not just due to your age etc ? you need to answer youself that honestly . If you were 21 would you feel the same way about him ? I dont mean this being bad but you need to be honest with yourself .

    Thank you so much for all the help. I have always wanted to go over there but the last week I feel that I dont want to go over this. My husband found the changs place I will bring over a few bread rolls in my luggage just until I can find a grocery store. I will be arriving there at 4pm but with jet lag I will be very tired.

    I have never been to the USA I am flying out there during this week and I am making myself paranoid about toilets ! I have an anxiety problem along with gluten. In disney land I keep on looking at the online maps for the toilet locations. In the uk if you serve food there has to be toilets. Is it like this in the usa also ? I have always wanted to go over...

    Hi I have had no results about the blood work posted to me yet. Mail is so slow here. I have out myself on a gluten-free diet and feel great. I had a slip up well not a slip up more me thinking this wont hurt. Then everything came back bloated tummy pains etc.

    Hi no I dont have to pay. I live in the uk the letter also states the dietitian also sees patients with celiac disease as well as gastrological disorders. So hopefully it will all be good

    I went to the hospital two weeks ago all my bloods were neg and my biopsy was normal. She took more bloods inc checking my DNA and some other ones.She didnt diagnose me at the hospital but with my symptoms she was very shocked that my biopsy was normal. Today I got a letter saying I am referring you to a dietitian for your gluten intolerance .What does this...

    Finally some good news I got a letter today and with my symptoms I have been reffered to a dietitian.

    On the challenge I was very sick with stomach cramps, loose watery fatty stools,mucus, Urgency, tasting sick in my mouth also very tired. I have had no communication from my doctors so I didn't know I had to eat gluten until I found this forum. Also my joint pain has returned in my hips and my hand is still getting the shakes.     Hi raven. I have had the biopsies done they got one sample as I was intolerant to the procedure . That came back fine also I explain to them that I only had been on the challenge for less than two weeks before having that done and that I was on a very strict gluten-free diet for 10 months.     I went to the hospital for my results today. It is not celiac but gluten intolerance what ever that means. So basically I have Ibs.
