I heard the same thing at 2 restaurants now. A local Boston Pizza gave me there gluten free list and when saw fries on there I immediately inquired if they have a separate deep frier. I was told that because of the high temperature of the oil the fries did not become contaminated. I told the waitress that's not possible and not to give the fries to people...
