  1. Hello everyone, I am a twenty year old college student and I am looking for some guidance on my next doctor's visit. Some background information: I have always been one of those people who just has a "sensitive stomach," and I used to vomit quite frequently when I was younger (the vomiting is less now, but still much more than most. And no, it is not...
  2. That is exactly the rash I have covering my fore arms, in between my elbows, and between a few fingers. I am not diagnosed with celiac (panel came back normal), I am awaiting a dermatologist appointment but I believe it to be DH. Hope you get answers!!!!
  3. Alright so update: I had an appointment with a GI but he had a family emergency and I met with a nurse practitioner instead. She was awful. When I brought up DH she looked at me like I was stupid and said "celiac is an autoimmune disease, it has nothing to do with your skin." ..... then she told me that the celiac panel has never provided a false negative...
  4. Called the doctor and he said it came back normal. Waiting to get the results myself and going to call a GI. I just really would like to find out what is wrong with me, and I want to look at my results and perhaps get a biopsy because I'm not convinced.
  5. When I went to the doctor he didn't even look at it but said it was excema, he gave me a prescription for triamcinolone and when I put the cream on it burned and was extremely painful I had to rub it off right away and it burned for a long time after, thanks doc. Should get the results of my blood panel today though
  6. If you have DH are you more likely to get a false negative on your blood panel? I feel like I've heard that but I am unsure.
  7. Thanks guys, got my blood panel done the other day should get my results on Monday
  8. I have acquired all the recommended ointments and it is significantly going down, will I still show a positive if i get it tested and it is much less inflamed? I don't know ifn inflamed is the right word, but you know what i mean.
  9. Alright I was confused if being underweight was a major symptom of celiac. I have diarrhea so often I am confused as to how my body is absorbing anything. After posting the photo of my rash in the DH thread and doing some more research I am sure I have celiac.
  10. Thanks guys, it feels good to finally figure out what this is. I went from not knowing what celiac disease is to firmly believing I have it in a matter of like two days so I appreciate it the replies. My other question is, is it true that if you have DH you do have celiac? It is really hard to get a dermatologist appointment around here, can a GP diagnose...
  11. Hello, this is a photo of a rash that I have had on and off for a few years now. It appears in between my elbows and on both of my wrists. This is it when it is VERY MILD and a few days after I have scratched it really badly. I am in a lot of pain from it, after scratching it it hurts a lot. (sorry for the crappy macbook photo quality)
  12. I know this is probably TMI but I forgot to mention that I have mucus in my stools often. The symptoms just keep coming! Ugh. However, I am worried that it may not be celiac because I am not underweight. I am a very healthy weight.
  13. Very true! Unfortunately, because I am a student at a university I eat at the dining commons and in order to be accommodated for I need a form from my doctor.
  14. Thank you guys for the replies! I have a question about the rash, I have gotten this rash in between my elbows every year for about the past 5 as long as I can remember. This is the first year I have gotten it on my wrists as well. This summer I got it REALLY bad on my wrists. I worked at a cafe as well as an ice cream shop and I had to call out from work...
  15. Hello everyone, a friend of mine recently sent me an article/video about Celiac disease because she believed I had it. All my life I have been someone who just as "an overly sensitive stomach." When I was younger we used to joke that I'd thrown up in every restaurant in my hometown because when I was younger I used to vomit a lot, mostly after going out...
