  1. Thanks for the responses. I decided to return the protein powder. I'm going to pick up something simple and natural like hemp protein instead of some chock-full-of-chemicals blend. I'll up my lean meats intake and just try to eat more proper calories throughout the day. I may go with some plain creatine monohydrate powder in addition though, still debating...
  2. Has anyone here had any experience with beef-based protein powders? Specifically, I'm looking at Carnivor by MuscleMedsRX. I'd love to hear any comments people have. This contains Creatine Monohydrate, which I've read is the one that wont wreck your stomach, according to the people in this forum. Link: Open Original Shared Link Advertisement/product/index...
  3. How did everything go? Any update for us? Are you now going to try going gluten free?
  4. Obviously, you can try the antibiotics for the SIBO. If thats truly the issue, hopefully it will help. If you feel like you identify many of your symptoms with those of gluten intolerance (this is what I did) then yes, I would definitely recommend trying a gluten free diet to see if it helps you. Like you, I had every test I could think of and could...
  5. That sounds really tough. I would go with the advice that several others have given me around here and go with a very strict elimination diet. Find a couple of safe staples that you know don't bother you (if thats possible?) such as chicken, rice, quinoa, etc. When you're only eating a scant few things, see how you feel. After that, start slowly adding...
  6. I am self-diagnosed NCGS. After 10 years of stomach difficulties, it seems to be the only thing that has worked. I definitely have less IBS-D and IBS-C (almost zero), and feel noticeably less exhausted all the time. And this is just after 2 months of gluten free living. I am lactose intolerant, and wonder if oddly I have a slight allergy to some nuts...
  7. Marilyn, you definitely raise some good points. Maybe I'm just way more conscious of these things now, especially since, I think, I get freaked out by my stomach doing things like making noises, feeling certain ways, etc, simply because EVERYTHING used to be indicative of an IBS-D attack. I know the other day I heard my stomach making TONS of gurgling...
  8. Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for 6 weeks now, but wanted to come out of the woodwork and start to contribute as well. The people on this forum have been an incredible help to me. I thought I'd give a super quick recap of my story then see if anyone could help me by sharing their results. I'm a 29 year-old male. I've had stomach problems...
