  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. i'm in the book too (i wrote "cold days and clear skies"...it's pretty corny, hehe)...i just got my copy. it's awesome! it feels so good to read stories of all the other celiacs that seem to be somewhere out there.
  3. Where do you all go to college? Do any of you go to college on the west coast and have had successes with food options? I'm starting to seriously think about colleges and I'm more than a little concerned about the food situation. Thanks!
  4. thanks so much for your replies everyone! they were a ton of help! i'm planning to follow your advice. i've already been over the menu with one of the people in charge there and they know the substitutions i'm bringing. the thing i'm most worried about is contamination, but i plan to check everything over and over again. and, my motto: when in doubt, don...
  5. i'm going on a weekend long retreat for my school, and i've pretty much got my whole menu squared away. i'm bringing a lot of substitutions for things and i think i've got my meals covered. however, there are a few things that are on the menu that i told the people in charge of the retreat are questionable...i need some advice on whether or not these things...
  6. thank you!! the responses are much appreciated
  7. are tic tacs gluten free?? i've checked on the website.... no info whatsoever. can't find a number to call. i've even posted on this website but no one's answered. seriously, i just need a yes or a no... tic tacs contain dextrin and starch, neither say where their original source is from.
  8. are tic tacs gluten free? among the ingredients are "dextrin" and "starch". thanks.
  9. are they gluten free?
  10. are all tic tacs ok? and is there any more gum besides wrigley's that is def. gluten free? thanks
  11. Yes, Augmentin is gluten free. I too have sinus problems, and I called the company and they assured me that people call about that very often and that there is no gluten in it. I also sometimes take the antibiotic Cefzil, which is also gluten free, in case it ever comes up.
  12. does anyone know of the best place (or website) to get gluten free vanilla extract? I know the McCormicks vanilla extract is gluten free, but if there is a place I could buy clearly labeled gluten free vanilla extract, that would be great.
  13. Hey, I suffer from bad sinus headaches and am seeking a good medicine to help them. I purchased a box of Sudafed Sinus Headache pills, but I haven't tried them yet because one of the ingredients is "pregelatinized starch", and I don't know exactly what that is, but it sounds suspicious. Should I call about it? Or does anyone here know if this medicine...
  14. Hey, I live in Portland and yes, Corbetts (Corbett Fish House) is so great about gluten free. They make nearly everyting with rice flour except for bread, it's awesome.
  15. Hey, I'm across the country so I can't help you with finding an alternative medicine practitioner, but I wanted to share my experience. I was skeptical about trying acupuncture but I was in such pain from Celiac that I decided to give it a shot. I was lucky enough to find an acupuncturist in my area (Portland, Oregon) who was very familiar with Celiac...
