ARCHIVED I Am Sick. Undiagnosed. Confused. Concerned.asickdaddy posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms I have had some mild nausea my whole life, randomly. As a kid I had anxiety and was actually diagnosed with ADD but it was really just mild anxiety. My anxiety was from a fear of vomiting in public, I gag really easily and felt sick often( in class, the bus, etc.). I also had chronic constipation. I also would wake up in the middle of the night with chills...

My problems have been anxiety, abdominal pain, and constipation. I never had the really urgent need for a bathroom, quite the opposite. I have been back to a gluten and dairy free diet now for a little over a week. Today at a family picnic I just felt so much tension and anxiety. I did not consume any gluten and cross contamination if it occurred...

ARCHIVED Fecal Impaction-Does This Indicate Strongly Towards Celiac?asickdaddy replied to asickdaddy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Thanks for the responses. I am a little excited, going back on the diet starting tomorrow. The doctor saw me on friday and strongly agreed finally to the diet. So back I go. As for genetic testing, does it matter if you are eating gluten free when you do the test? I can't imagine why it should I just want to know.

I have been in testing for celiac. Blood indicates mostly normal levels although the TTG seemed borderline, the doctor does not really believe in the blood test so that is the good news. My next step is gene testing. I did the endoscopy but was already gluten free and they did not take biopsies. My doctor thinks that another endoscopy is pointless he...

I have had some ups and downs. I have done some gluten challenging. My problem is I don't get instant reactions, it seems like for me, I need a build up of gluten. Then I get the same pattern of sharp stabbing pains all throughout my upper body. I get swallowing problems, where it feels like food goes down very roughly and burns. I feel...

Thanks for the replies Well, the pain tonight got so bad that it felt like I was having heart problems. My anxiety shot through the roof and I sort of panicked. I think my mental state was worn out from the pain and I drove to the ER. The ER doctor was super nice. They tested my heart-normal, my blood-everything normal-catscan of my abdomen...

Yeah, it was fun in the hospital. I have too much faith in the system, because I truly believed I was going to leave with some answers. It was the absolute opposite. Anyway, I no longer have health insurance. I am un-insurable at the moment, well to put it mildly the premium increase is so outrageous it would be more than my mortgage monthly. I...

Thanks for all the replies. I am starting back on the diet. My family is supportive I just think that because I challenge the gluten free diet and I have yet to get a diagnosis that it sort of becomes this mild joke. Their intentions are good, but I think everyday they wonder, is he gluten free or not? My doctor had me testing and eating gluten...

I went off the diet for a week. It was not instant the pain, in fact I kind of laughed at first because I felt good. I think the drug effects of being able to eat pizza and hamburgers etc. are pretty fun. But within 4-5 days I started to feel the stomach pain, it was manageable at first. Then last night it was just incredible. It was burning, it was...

I have twice done the gluten free diet. Both times I had a moments where I felt like my blood sugar dramatically dropped and I felt horrible. My symptoms I got extremely shakey my heartrate increased I felt like fainting I felt weak I felt breathless Both times felt like panic attacks, but are different. I have had a panic attack, these...

ARCHIVED New To All This... Still Not Sure If Its Even Celiacasickdaddy replied to meg-a-doodle's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms It is a big deal. But possibly a rewarding big deal. I would not sweat about it. I have gone gluten free twice. Both for testing reasons. One time for nearly a year and this latest for a month. It is a hump that you have to get over, but ultimately you may really improve your health and for the better. Best of luck.

When I was a kid I remember coming home and seeing a pizza box. I was naturally excited and as I opened it I would see 3-4 piece of pizza with no cheese. My dad would always sneak into the pizza and pull of the cheese and leave the rest. We used to get so mad because there was never left over pizza, just ruined pizza. Well my daughter does the...

My doctor will not diagnose me. He is not being mean about it, he just wants more testing. I went one month gluten free and within days felt better. At my fourth week I started feeling like total garbage. My stomach pain returned although it seemed somewhat more tame, and I started getting headaches. I was frustrated, so I said lets test by eating it...

My doctor will not make the diagnosis and when they did the endoscopy, they didn't take any biopsies and said everything looked normal. Basically I got stiffed in the process. The doctor has suggested its possible celiac and to give it a try. I did try it for a year before. I know my body is reacting to something in my diet and I do overall get some pretty...

Its now one month and I feel like garbage. I am getting headaches and just feel not much better. I have had windows where I did feel better, but moments like today make me wonder if I went about this the right way. I kind of want to eat gluten to get a reaction to really convince myself that I need to stay the course. I am eating good stuff, vegetables...

I am doing good with cooking and buying healthy non processed stuff. I mean even my binges are not really processed crap except for the recent snickers bars and coca cola. I buy organic kettle cooked chips, everything else is very healthy its just these sugar and salt evening cravings that i can't escape. I know I know I need to have a little will power...

This thursday will be one month, gluten and dairy free. I just realized I am not getting much vegetables and I seem to have zero desire to eat vegetables. It seems since I have gone on the diet, I get through most of the day eating healthy stuff, like fruits, nuts, turkey and beans. Then at night I seem to just crash, I sort of mini binge and...

ARCHIVED Gluten Is A Drug.. Its A Little Addicting For Sure.asickdaddy posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Ok I am on day 20. Gluten and dairy free. seeing some improvements. Yes. I called my doctor today to hear my test results to only be told sorry he will have to contact you later in the week. here I sit, thinking about a sandwhich, a sub, a pizza, a hamburger. I am not going to give in, but the family loves bread products its everywhere I look...

I hate to be graphic but unfortunately I think celiac is a graphically challenged discussion item. Anyway, since quitting gluten and dairy 2 weeks ago, my bowels have normalized. I was chronically constipated and eventually would be in pain. Gluten and dairy free, I have an urge daily to go to the bathroom. Not diarrhea, semi healthy appearing evacuations...

ARCHIVED 2 Weeks Gluten Free..asickdaddy replied to asickdaddy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Yeah the last time I went gluten free I think it was a good month to 2 months before I got into the routine and felt adjusted. This time seems a little more painful of a process.

ARCHIVED 2 Weeks Gluten Free..asickdaddy replied to asickdaddy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms No cc and I am not eating processed foods. Kissing, well interestingly enough my wife is pregnant and very much going through sickness. We are both sort of sick for different reasons at the same time, I think we are more just hugging at the moment. As for food. I cannot get fish here inexpensively unless it is canned. Fish is easily $8 a pound for...

ARCHIVED 2 Weeks Gluten Free..asickdaddy replied to asickdaddy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms By the way I still have no diagnosis. I am doing this on my own. The doctors have been extremely expensive and unhelpful. They did an endoscopy when I was gluten free for 6 months. They never told me I needed to be on gluten prior. They also did not take a biopsy. Their report said everything looked normal. I was charged $13k for this and some other...

ARCHIVED 2 Weeks Gluten Free..asickdaddy posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Ok. 2 weeks gluten and dairy free. At first I had a few days of rapid improvement. Then a return of my stomach pain which lasted 3-4 days. I have been doing ok. I guess you could say I was chronically constipated my entire life. I never had an urge to go to the bathroom, generally I would just reach a point of pain after 5-6 days and then my...

ARCHIVED I Did A Really Dumb Thing And Drank Some Beer.. So Sickasickdaddy replied to asickdaddy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Its a honda civic and no it was never a racer. I am the only owner. I can't figure it out. Sears said they never saw a car with this type of situation. It passed last years inspection but not now, so somehow it happened over the last year. I did have an accident early last year and I am trying to figure out if during the repair the guy removed it and...
