  1. Hi - I tried this, but cannot seem to get into the online group. All I find is a bunch of Top Sites and Sponsored Links
  2. Hi there, I am in Cary, NC. I even asked a friend who shops at Whole Foods to see if she could find it (just in case I'm missing it) and she didn't either I'll try the asian markets this week. Thank you!
  3. Hi all, Okay. I've finally worked up the nerve to start baking instead of buying mixes. I have searched off and on all week for a posting and cannot find it. A group of kind members had posted the types of flour combinations they use to bake breads, muffins, etc. I found lots of info except one vital tidbit. What is the brand name of glutinous...
  4. I've been searching the posts and online, and cannot find it anywhere. The chef at Biaggi's said this is the brand he uses (it's tricolor and fantastic). Please let me know if you know where I can buy this online. They do not carry it locally. And yes, if all else fails, I'll ask him
  5. Does anyone know what all yeast sensitivities means from Great Smokies? I had purchased the Uncheese Cookbook before I realized that almost all recipes call for nutitional yeast. Is nutritional yeast the same as what is referred to on that test? I'm lost!
  6. I think I'm going to be sick. We've had him on soy for over a year now. Actually, almost two years. My God, what if this is what has created his failure to thrive and not gluten?
  7. I'd very much like to see something tangible regarding the issues with soy - my son has been drinking 3 - 6 bottles a day now for 1.5 years and if there is something bad about it - please, please do let me know. And yes - Nilsa - please do tell the name of the cheese!!! Thank you all.
  8. Ordered one of everything (just about) from kinnicknincickicn - you know what I mean Will try Ms. Robsen's too - I think that is funny because someone else recommended Ms Robsen's, I had it up on the web, my machine froze, had to reboot and could not remember the site. Thank you all again!
  9. Tried the chreese - not for me I tried the cheddar type. Will try the alfredo version and let ya'll know. Called Turtle Moutain - thanks for the name (Soy Delicious) and am working on getting it ordered locally. It looks like it will be good (I hope, I hope Going to ask everyone on the board if they eat Toffuti cheeses w/o problems. Thank...
  10. For those who equate stem cell with aborted fetuses - PLEASE READ ON. That is not what stem cell research or medicine is about. Stem cells are derived from many sources, including cord cell blood after a baby is born. These are precious cells that can change the lives of thousands on this planet - right now. Consider the argument of playing God...
  11. Hi, it's a salad dressing and long story short, I've waited 10 days to get the phone number to check with the manufacturer and still don't know. Soybean oil, water, pasteurized cultured milk, corn vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, eggs, corn syrup, vinegar, egg yolks, salt, garlic, anchovies, defatted soy flour, onion, citric acid, sodium banzoate, potassium...
  12. Why didn't I think of that!!!! I spent almost an hour last night toasting bread, letting it dry out, running it through the food processor, then baking it to make bread crumbs. (sigh) Live and learn!!!
  13. Does Kinnikinnik ship their items frozen? I want to buy everything in sight, but it will go bad before we can eat all of it. If not, do you buy in bulk and then freeze everything? Thank you!
  14. Hi all, I'd like to buy them at Whole Foods, but their selection is nill. So I'm looking for your favorite brands of Gluten-free Casein-free bagels, english muffins, and pizza crusts. I've tried gluten-free products on my own and whoo! Sometimes I get a good one, and others, not so good So before I go shopping online, spending a whole bunch...
  15. PS I just hung up with toffuti, who stated that their products are all casein free, but that they do not guarantee gluten free.
  16. Hi all, My son and I need to on a Gluten-free Casein-free diet according to Enterolab. Please, please recommend Gluten-free Casein-free subs for cream cheese, cheddar/yellow cheese, ice cream, etc. Would you also include where you can find them? I'm always happy to buy online in bulk. I found a website I thought was great, and purchased...
  17. Hi all, I know some of you have put the $$$$$$$ out of pocket, like me, to get test results back. We are going to have my husband and youngest son tested as well. It is so $$$$$$$$. Does anyone know the ICD-9 code I need to put on the Enterolab forms to file with our insurance? Thank you.
  18. Hi all, a recommendation for a Gluten-free Casein-free brand calcium (not carbonate, but citrate or another higher quality format) is very much appreciated for both me and my 2.5 year old son.
  19. Hi everyone, My Summary: 1st blood test for me: positive gliadin only 2nd blood test for me after gluten-free 2.5 weeks: all negative Endoscopy: inconclusive, possible early onset of celiac disease gluten-free for 2 months now Symptoms return after eating pork, red meat - have not retested gluten (afraid) Awaiting results from Enterolab My...
  20. Hi all, I have been told your blood work shows elevated gliadin, you may have a wheat allergy, but don't appear to be celiac disease. Then three months later, your bloodwork is normal (after 2.5 weeks gluten-free) so you don't have celiac (all 5 titers done). And - Your endoscopy was inconclusive. Gastritis, elevated leukocytes, and possible...
  21. Newbie - going on week 3 gluten-free. Was starting to feel so much better and then I made some bad choices and am paying dearly with GI upset, fatigue, nauseau, and severe mood swings (mostly between nasty/irritable to crying for no reason). I'm hungry but the usual "safe" lunch salad does NOT appeal to me since I'm having so much cramping and diarrhea...
  22. Hm. I'm guessing though, that despite your test results, you still get sick if you consume gluten? (or why would you still be on the boards when you can be out eating everything in sight That's disconcerting... I would hope that the tests are accurate...
  23. Has anyone else's child been diagnosed as hypotonic? Did going gluten-free help with the symptoms? How long did it take to see a difference in your child's strength? Did you cut out just gluten, or other products as well? My son has not gained weight since he turned one (he turns 3 in June), we are undergoing testing, and I'd like to try a gluten...
  24. Just trying to find out if everyone who gets tested gets back a positive finding...
  25. Who is Dr. Hadjivassiliou ? I saw my GI today, who promptly told me that the results of Fine's testing are inconclusive, he has never submitted his testing for peer review, and would not endorse ordering the tests for me - which means I have to pay out of pocket. I pointed out that after a colonoscopy, bloodwork AND endoscopy that his testing results...
