  1. The same thing happened to me, Patrician. I had a very positive tTg- IgG. The doctor said I don't have celiac. I asked what could cause the high tTg-IgG and she said that it is associated with celiac. I asked if anything else could cause it since she had just told me I don't have celiac. She said that she had to look into it and would let me know and I...
  2. Wow, it's a shame you didn't get a copy of that report back then.
  3. Also, Beauty Without Cruelty has an extensive selection of gluten free personal care and cosmetic items. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  4. Cosmetics: All of this brand's products are gluten free and natural, many of them organic. I think I read somewhere that the founder has Celiac and that's why she created this brand. There are a TON of different options on this site to choose from. Open Original Shared Link
  5. My symptoms got worse (and I developed some new ones) after I eliminated gluten and then added back in. I think that's pretty common. If the gluten free diet makes you feel better, stick with it!
  6. Oh, wow. I hope the blood tests clear things up for you. Between your symptoms and the positive biopsy you had before, it sure sounds like celiac.
  7. Gluten makes me feel extremely tired. It hits me like a Mack Truck. It sometimes take all I have just to make it over to the couch and collapse. My mom has told me that she can't eat lunch at work or she'll fall asleep. I've been wondering if it could be gluten related for her as well.
  8. That's so exciting! You're going to feel so much better soon. I have 3 weeks until my biopsy and I'm starting to question whether I really want to keep feeling sick until then . How long ago did you start eating gluten again?
  9. If you want to be tested for celiac, do it before you start eating gluten free. Otherwise you might get false negatives on the tests. I started eating gluten-free and felt a lot better but I had to start eating it again to get a diagnosis. You can ask the doctor to order a celiac panel and go from there. It's totally up to you if you want to get tested or...
  10. Definitely let us know! Take Care
  11. Thanks for your reply, pain*in*my*gut! I know what you mean about doctors discounting you because you're not the "typical" celiac. Luckily the nurse practitioner at my GI office is more open-minded because she has family who had atypical symptoms of celiac disease, but even she isn't extremely knowledgeable on the subject. I guess we'll see what happens...
  12. I guess I'm wondering if the positive tTG IgG is irrelevant if I'm not IgA deficient.
  13. I know. I'm not angry, just frustrated. Especially when the doctors think I'm a hypochondriac and that all of my symptoms are from "stress." Anyway, thanks again for replying!
  14. Thanks for replying! The panel did also include Endomysial Antibody IgA (negative) and Immunoglobin A, Qn, Serum which was 126 (70-400=normal). Sorry, I guess I should have included that info. It's frustrating when it seems like the doctors don't know any more about it than I do (and sometimes less!).
  15. Hi everyone! I had some labs done recently and. First, I should say that I was almost entirely gluten-free for 2 months recently. I started eating gluten again so that I could possibly get a diagnosis. I had been eating gluten for about 3 weeks prior to the labs being done. Deadimated Gliadin Abs, IgA 4 (0-19) Deadimated Gliadin Abs, IgG 2 (0-19) ...
