  1. What is the best way to learn about gluten-free foods and hidden sources of Gluten. My diet is so limited right now. I have also develpoed a lactose intolerance, small amounts aren't so bad, like I can tolerate half and half but never milk or icecream, heavy cream puts me in bed with stomach pain. I have read the places here on this site that are posted...
  2. I don't know how to go out to eat and find foods that are safe for me that won't make me sick. Is there a restaurant guide available anywhere or could anyone give me some ponters please!!!!!!!
  3. Can anyone recommend and good gluten-free cookbooks or books to read? Thanks
  4. We have decided to not have the biopsy. After reintroducing gluten back this week I have felt horrible, I do not need another test to tell me what I already know, nor can my body handle gluten anymore. It is personally not worth it to me to continue to feel as bad as I have. If by chance my stomach problems etc. do not begin to improve in the next few months...
  5. Thanks for your input. I too have an almost constant pain in my abdomon. I am a little overwhelmed that gluten seems to be in everything, but on the same note I am sure that once we get the hang of this it won't be so difficult. Most importantly I am really really excited to see what health problems go away once I become gluten-free. I don't know how to...
  6. I have encountered so many doctors over the last nine years, some of which think I am crazy and others who regretfully inform me that there is nothing that they can do for me. I had a neck and back injury nine years ago which have led to migraines, neck pain, and now the host of celiac disorders. For the last year I have been going from doctor to doctor...
  7. I read your post about length of periods. I have had unpredictable cycles and constant PMs I think. Would you mind sharing your cycle problems. How long were you off gluten before you started feeling better?
  8. thank you I am just trying to make sense of all of this. It is so discouraging when we have to push doctors so hard to get help- fortunately this time a doctor took me seriously.
  9. Does anyone know what the link is between stress and celiac? I understand that celiac is an autoimmune disease, is it that our body becomes so overloaded? What does pregnancy have to do with it? Thanks!
  10. Thank you all for your help. I cannot begin to tell you all how much of a relief it has been to read your stories and finally find someone that can relate to me. I think that feeling so isolated has been more overwhelming than feeling bad all of the time. I have known for quite some time that wheat and dairy bother me, the two combined kill me. Last night...
  11. Hi there again! What is an ND? What are GMO wheat products? In response, I eat primarily organic foods- silly me didn't think that any of that could be harmful to me since it was organic. Wow! so much to absorb. I have five children whose lives.along with my husbands have been severely altered by my health over the last nine years. I need to learn more...
  12. Hello All my name is Anne. I have had health problems for the past nine years. Over the last year I have had an increase in migraines, a more apparent intolerance to dairy and I truly believe Gluten. In the last two weeks I have been diagnosed with anemia and hypothyroidism. I had an incredible hard time getting my doctor to even buy into a possibility of...
