  1. Things went very well. I was happy to hear they are taking me seriously and are planning on doing all sorts of things to rule a LOT of things out. The first person I talked to was a student physican's assistant. She was very thorough and spent a lot of time talking to me. The only thing I didn't like is that she said there was no way I could get enough...
  2. Thanks - Just printed. This is very helpful.
  3. Wow - 24 hours with Gluten. I've been Dairy free for more than a year, so I know it's not that. I used to think it was and there was some improvement after going off dairy, but it didn't last. I actually eat no meat, eggs or dairy. My diet is completely plant based. I had triscuits for lunch along with hummus today (homemade so I know what was...
  4. Yep - Although I have had gluten for lunches and dinners too - it's most pronounced and maybe because I'm sitting at work and can't get up and move around, go to the bathroom, etc. Monday - Brick oven made pita's and probably some type of gluten in the falafel - Tuesday- Pasta and breadcrumbs Wednesday - Pasta Thursday - Flour Tortilla - not sure about...
  5. I have my first Dr's appointment today at 2:30 PM. I'm hoping he takes me seriously and doesn't say something like - oh I doubt you have that or it's very rare. My main issue I'm going to start with is the cronic daily loose stools. Then I'll talk about my stomach bloat, gas, cramping, running to the bathroom. The stomach issues have been going on since...
  6. Food for Life also makes a really good brown rice tortilla that I believe is Gluten free (new here and to Celiac so not 100% sure).
  7. Follow-up: I have a Dr's appointment for Friday at 2:30 PM. Step 1! I'll let you know what they say. I hope he is willing to do tests and/ or refer me to a GI Specialist. I really appreciate everyone's replies. I really hope it's not Celiac Disease, yet knowing I could feel better almost makes me want to. At least then I would know what to do to...
  8. Thanks everyone, I'm definately not going to stick my head in the sand. I think I'll try going to the Dr. and see if he takes me seriously and then go from there. I'm going to start making a list of things I can eat that would be "vegan and Gluten Free" so when I'm ready to start removing things from my diet I have a plan and an idea of what to make.
  9. Wow - I would have never thought Interstitial Cystitis and Celiacs could be related. Hmm now I'm not sure what route to go - just trying to give up gluten (and I also want to try giving up soy) and seeing how I feel or going to get tested. Maybe I'll try to make a Dr's appt next week. Also a little back-ground on my IC I was diagnosed when I...
  10. I know about celiac, but honestly I never thought I would ever be thinking could I have it. I've even read Elizabeth Hasselbecks book before, but always though - thank goodness I don't have to worry about all that. Years ago my doctor said I had IBS, but either I learned to live with it or things I did made it manageable or better. It wasn't unusual...
