  1. These are totally, totally awesome! Says "GLUTEN FREE" right on the bag. They are thin, crispy, light...not heavy or greasy or gritty at all. I found them at my local Jewel (Albertson's)..but the website says they sell these at Whole Foods and Wild Oats. If you want a great tortilla chip, try these!
  2. Is this product gluten free? I have three messages in with the company, still no response. I am mainly concerned with the preservatives in this product...one is an alcohol base. Does anyone have confirmation from the company on this product? Thank you! Jane in Chicagoland
  3. Help! I was using Hawaian Tropic Island Glow, but found out it has some questionable ingredients due to the fact that I got real itchy afterwards...and felt pretty bad the last two days. Can anyone guide me to a good one? I cannot get a lot of sun, but I dont want to look pasty white. Thank you! Jane In Chicagoland
  4. I have read so much conflicting info on this. I asked my doctor, he could not tell me if Zithro was gluten free. The pharmacist could not tell me. I have called Pfizer, they will get back to me in SEVERAL DAYS. I need to take something now. What Pfizer told me this am, was that they could not BE CERTAIN a med was gluten free, without talking to the actual...
  5. I can relate. I have lived on these boards the last few days, because I must have gotten glutened somewhere and I feel lousy. Back to the topic tho, I am a tiny person, size 4...and right now...I betcha my gut alone is a size 8. Its a rumbling, bubbly, gurgly bloated MESS, my stomach is...been gluten free 4 months. Doesnt feel like it tho, and yes, I...
  6. Before I was diagnosed and I was having stomach problems... I would grab everything and anything, that was making my intestines worse. Graham crackers, soda crackers, noodles....cheerios cereal....basically anything that was a starch or a carb. Now when I have gluten flubs and feel horrible, but am on the mend...I dont know what to grab to eat. Help...
  7. Thank you all for understanding, wow...its great to have a place to come and just rant it all out of me. I have one person who I know, who has auto-immune allergies/diseases, and she and I get together once in a while to swap horror stories. Besides that, no one understands. Like some have mentioned...they may have compassion, but they dont GET it. My...
  8. I read in the previous post rant about how its not TOO terrible in the sense that we can feel basically fine by avoiding certain foods...but let me clarify... When you scrutinize, study, fret about, worry about, are meticulous over...WATCH EVERYTHING that enters your mouth...and you STILL have bouts where you can memorize every single square inch of...
  9. Thank you for the replies. I asked my cardio (along with celiac, I also have PSVT) yesterday if there is a relation between the hair loss and celiac, and he said absolutely. They only big wonder I have, is that I have had every blood test done known to modern man to check my thyroid, iron levels...things that would show if I have any malnutrition issues...
  10. Hello everyone, I had a positive biopsy done on May 9th. Since then, I have been totally gluten-free, or at least by trail and error, am trying to be. I was diagnosed "severe"..meaning I have probably had this disease for most of my adult life. During that time, I have experienced off again, on again hair loss. It has been horrible since about March...
