  1. I'm a fan of this one: Open Original Shared Link And this one: Open Original Shared Link
  2. I was sick with debilitating stomach aches, fatigue, severe bloating, constant weight gain and fluctuations, amongst other things, for years. I was also sick with pretty much every cold that happened to be going around (or even not going around) at the time. At the end of July this year, I became incredibly sick. I had a severe stomach ache and nausea that...
  3. The tingly limbs, brain fog and numbness shows up within 30 minutes. Over the course of a few days, the GI stuff/joint pain/bone pain/muscle aches get worse. Takes about 1-2 weeks for it to go away completely.
  4. 1. My whole stomach hurt and would bloat a ridiculous amount. My stomach aches were constant, severe and debilitating and would last for at least 2 hours at a time. My stomach aches cleared up in the first few days after cutting gluten. 2. Gnawing intestinal pain, passing mucous in BMs, (especially right after a glutening). 3. Inflamed joints, achy...
  5. Update: I was officially diagnosed with celiac disease this morning based on my symptoms alone. I attempted a gluten challenge on October 31 and had to stop on November 1 because I felt like I was knocking on death's door. Mom got blood tests on the 4th and is currently waiting for the results!
  6. Your doctor told you to keep eating gluten because the "diet is a pain"? I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. You should not be eating gluten. It can also take a year or more to start feeling exceptionally better on a gluten-free/DF diet.
  7. Not everyone feels better right away. It can take weeks for any improvements to show up, depending on the severity. You also need to be completely strict with your gluten-free diet. Read every label, sanitize/decontaminate everything (counter tops, baking stuff, pots/pans- though if you have non-stick pans that have been cooked with gluten, you need to have...
  8. Is it possible to diagnose on a failed gluten challenge alone? I have an appointment with my doctor on November 7th and an appointment with an allergist on December 7 (for a tingly tongue/mouth/face after eating nutella)- is there anything specific I should be asking either of them?
  9. Hi! Thank you for the replies! My mom is very pro-gluten-free. I told her that even if the tests come back negative, she should go gluten-free anyway, and she agrees. I'll talk to her about going DF as well. We've been doing a lot of looking into celiac and also cushing's which is a real possibility for her. I'll have a talk with her about the vitamins...
  10. Hi all, I've been lurking for a while but finally feel it's time to post. I think celiac is a definite possibility for my mom. For now I consider myself "gluten sensitive" but am unsure of what the diagnosis really is. I apologize if things are repeated/unclear in this post- I'm experiencing quite the brain fog. I'll start with my mom: Diagnosed with...
