:( I thought that the itching in my hands, stomach area, feet and toes was due to some rare, unmanageable peripheral neural damage disease. That's what my allopath doc says.
 
I'm learning slowly the limits to allopathic medicine: if the trouble is not a pathogen or some huge physical catastrophe, they often don't understand the trouble.
 
So what a relief to find some others who have had the itching and can link it to ingestion of gluten.
 
I had been off gluten for a week and the itching was subsiding -- but I also was doing some PT for pinched nerves. Thought it was all due to the PT.
 
But yesterday my wife had some small eclairs for her girlfriends at lunch. Some were left over. I had two.
 
And bang! Last night and this morning the itching in my left hand, my right cheek, the midriff ! I google it and llink up with some folks here. Same trouble, same symptoms.
 
Insurance and medicare don't know about gluten free treatments. so we are on our own. How comforting, therefore, to find others with the same deal.
 
Out, damned gluten spot!
