  1. OH MY GOSH!! I used to use certain makeups that would make my face itch and turn bright red and I just wanted it off asap! I wonder if it could have been something with the gluten...however, now I wear numerous different kinds. So is most foundation contain gluten?
  2. I am newly gluten free. I understand I cannot eat anything with gluten and have been doing okay with all of that but I am confused about topical gluten, if that even makes sense ha. I have heard two things, you cannot have any makeup made with gluten touch your lips. I have also heard you cannot use anything with gluten on your body period. I do get the DH...
  3. Did you find out what was causing the nausea and thirst?

  4. I am 7 weeks, have been gluten free for a month, and lost 6 lbs. I think it partially has to do with food aversions and the nausea but I haven't weighed this little in years :/
  5. I am 7 weeks pregnant, and went gluten free a little over a month ago due to positive celiac blood panel (Couldn't do the endoscopy due to pregnancy). I have been a little more "regular" but so far no other changes. However, the last two weeks (every day seems worse) I have been so ridiculously thirsty and urinating as soon as I drink something. I'll drink...
  6. I am brand new to celiacs and looking for a good pot roast recipe for the crock pot! I just saw the post on here about lipton onion mix not being gluten free which totally bums me out because that is what I typically use! And beer..but I know that is out now. I am looking for recipes! The grocery stores here carry some gluten free specialty items but not...
  7. As some of you may know, I found out that I had celiac disease about a month ago. I had a positive tTg test which was followed by a positive celiac panel (I don't know the specific test names). Funny thing is I had a upper endoscopy scheduled for last friday, I had to cancel last min due to scheduling conflicts. This stressed me out because I wanted to start...
  8. What are the best websites for gluten free recipes? (I'm new to this)
  9. I am in the same boat. Mine is scheduled for Jan 13th, but my Dr said I could go gluten free a wk before.
  10. I had the radioactive iodine scan done a few months ago. After I had my son (hes 10 months now) I developed hyperthyroidism, the Dr told me that it should have gone back to normal shortly after but it hadn't so he thought I had Graves and sent me for the test. It was normal. They just had me take a pill come back and pointed this machine at my knee for 2...
  11. I also just found out last week that my celiac panel was all positive and now am waiting on a biopsy. I have been sick for years so I totally understand how you feel about ridding yourself of the horrible pain even though you may want to cheat. I have been researching quite a bit, but so far have not started a gluten free diet.
  12. I have a tremor, which was first said to be from the temporary hyperthyroidism I got after having my son but that is now back to normal and my hands are still shakey. I just found out that my entire celiac panel was positive, but I have not gone gluten free yet. ( waiting for endoscopy) So it could be a symptom?
  13. Thank you SOOOOO much Irish! Very helpful!! I also just noticed there is a Gluten Free STORE a couple blocks away so I will definitely be making a visit soon
  14. I had NO idea that they didn't put you under anesthesia. My son has had two this yr and they put him under and I guess I assumed it would be the same thing. Now that I know that I am not as afraid. I will definitely have to talk to my Dr a little further about it, but it was mainly the getting put under thing that I was afraid of. Thanks
  15. I haven't been formally diagnosed with Celiac but my entire celiac panel was positive, the Dr just said he can't formally diagnose without a endoscopy. This brings my first huge worry. I HATE being put under and am completely terrified of it. Even thought I know that this is a routine easy procedure I am scared of being put under. I just wonder if it is really...
