Tom, Some recommend doing a gluten challenge for approximately six weeks prior to doing a biopsy, but I find it difficult to purposely do damage to yourself just for the test. newbie, Yours sounds like a classic case of celiac disease to me. I hope your blood test comes back with the results you want. I would think that if it wasn't celiac disease you wouldn't get the relief being gluten-free that you are. I have had two also with similar results. The gargle is really bad tasting, but nothing to be afraid of. I never have slept so well in my life. If you are sleep deprived, you will certainly get caught up on your sleep. I actually looked forward to the sleeping. Thanks Cleveland Bob. You are absolutely right! I have read some medical sites that there may be a link between celiac disease and some forms of gastritis. I find myself hoping for a positive celiac disease diagnosis so I can get some resolution, but I am afraid that it might be too easy.
