    My Naturopath wants me to take L-Glutamine between meals to help repair my gut. But I have read that the body converts L-Glutamine into Glutamate, and that you shouldn't take L-Glutamine if you have a reaction to MSG. They said that none of their products contain gluten but they share production lines with other companies and cannot totally guarantee, yada yada.     Does anyone here use Pur Minerals lipsticks? There seem to be no gluten ingredients in the lipsticks, from reading the ingredient list.     Thanks to everyone for posting this information. I think that if everyone who reacts to their "gluten free" product wrote to them and copied the FDA, they might change the wording on their packaging. It is just plain EVIL to not disclose allergen ingredients on a label. I hope they get sued and it teaches them a lesson.

    The continuing saga of gluten-free lipsticks... I got my Ecco Bella lipsticks today. The color Napa Grape is very close to Bamboo Pink. However, I find the lipstick to feel very heavy and chalky on my lips, not nice and light the way the Clinque lipstick was.     Well, I bought some colors of gluten-free lipstick from Ecco Bella online. When they get here, I will let you ladies know which one seems to be equivalent to Bamboo Pink by Clinique. There are also some colors by Afterglow that look equivalent, but their lipsticks cost twice as much as Ecco Bella's. I might buy one or two eventually to see how they compare...

    This is an update, February 13, 2011. I called Abbott Labs today. This is the information I got: Abbott Labs (1-800-633-9110). They told me that they do not put any gluten ingredients or gluten derivatives in any strengths of Synthroid. They gave me the usual line of not being able to guarantee that their suppliers don't have them in the raw ingredients...

    Maybe taking L-Glutamine would help it get out of your system faster? I haven't taken it myself, but have heard others say that it works for accidental "glutening."     I just called the company and they said that the tablets, brown gel caps and original caplets do NOT contain gluten. But the blue liqui-gels DO.     Every so often, the cuticles of both thumbs (at the bottom corners) get irritated and start peeling off. Could this be a gluten reaction? It seems rather mysterious to me.     Got the gene test results today from Entero Lab. Wow, am I glad I got this done! I have one genetic marker for Celiac and one genetic marker for gluten sensitivity. They told me that this means that it is strongly suggested that I avoid gluten. Also, my kids will have inherited at least one of those genetic markers, but there is now way of knowing which one...
