I had canker sores my entire life. I'm kind of a research nerd, so I've spent a lot of time looking into it. Prior to my own diagnosis, I came across research indicating a zinc and B vitamin deficiency as a possible culprit, along with sodium lauryl sulfate in toothpaste. I did take supplements for a time, but once I eliminated gluten, I had no more canker...
