  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I was diagnosed a few weeks before I turned 15.
  3. Gluten in lipstick?! wtf. I'm sorry but that has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. I mean is that absolutly necessary?
  4. I've looked and I couldn't find one gluten-free Campbell's soup, but I think some Progresso soups are gluten-free. I get a brand of soup called Tabatchnick. They sell it at regular food stores. Its in the frozen foods section in a box. It comes with 2 packages that you can cook in a mircowave or on the stove top. Not all of them are gluten-free but alot...
  5. Ever since I started my gluten-free diet in about May 05 I've been extremely tired all the time. At night I get about 7-8 hours of sleep, wake up at 6 and go to school for about 7 hours. Then as soon as I get home from school I'm too tired to stay awake and take 4-5 hour nap, then wake up to eat dinner, do homework, take a shower, then I get extremely tired...
  6. I lost about 10 pounds in 3 months after I went gluten-free. Now I lose 1 to 2 pounds about every month. Staying active helped alot too.
  7. I noticed something call glutimate (sp?) in some foods? Is that like a gluten related thing or what?
  8. I'm not sure where mine came from either only because no one in my family wants to get tested. My mom and 2 of my siblings got bloodwork done but that all come back negative. So unless some others in my family suck it up and get tested I won't know.
  9. I also cry because I miss some foods. I get upset easily over it because the diet is pretty new and I'm a teenage girl so just about anything could upset me. It's funny that this topic came up because this whole week-end I was upset and really bummed myself out. I think I miss pizza the most because usually when I go to the movies or bowling with my friends...
  10. I live in Jefferson Township. Its some of Oak Ridge and Lake Hopatong. I would be interested in starting a group but I have no idea about how someone would. Thanks for telling me about the group in New Brunswick but I'm not driving yet and my mom has 4 other kids to get places, so I don't think I could.
  11. I live in Morris County in New Jersey, and I've been thinking of joining a celiac disease support group. Anyone know of any in the area?
  12. When I started my gluten free diet I felt crappy for a couple of weeks. I think it was because I was eating alot rice to replace the wheat.. Sooo I started to eat wayyy more fruits and veggies and I was feeling pretty good. Also maybe if you do ever eat dairy you should try taking a lactase pill. I think celiacs and lactose intolerance go hand in hand.
  13. fruit + yogurt. i think gluten free pancakes are really gross.
