  1. I think it makes a great deal of sense that Celiacs are overweight, even though we are often greeted with skepticism by doctors. If the body does not use its food as fuel because of gluten consumption, why wouldn't it get stored as fat? Our bodies can only get rid of so much of it in other ways. Any other theories about this?

Some more thoughts: When diagnosed, I immediately eliminated gluten and lost 75 pounds in about six months (like usual, more came off at first).   3. Since pain radiates, it is often difficult to tell where it is actually originating. If these pains occur only after consuming gluten, it could be gas or an acidic reaction, which can at times be really debilitating in how much they hurt. I hope you find an answer fast.

    ARCHIVED Anxiety Meds

    Effexor is an anti-depressive, as many have mentioned. I'm a little surprised to hear it prescribed for anxiety, but many drugs are beneficial for things other than what they were made for. I take Singlair for fibromyalgia pain, and it is marketed for asthma. Effexor has made me unable to sleep, but your experience with the opposite seems more common....
  5. The correct doctor to see to check to see if you have fibromyalgia is a rheumatologist. As someone else pointed out, they will diagnose by asking you about your pain and putting pressure on spots on your body called "trigger points."
