  1. So I had a blood test last week for Celiac Disease. I just heard back from my doctor. It was negative. I was eating gluten free for about a month up until about 2 weeks before the test. Then I started stuffing myself with gluten again. I know they say you need to be eating gluten for 4 weeks or your test could come out negative. But I thought if I ate as...
  2. Before I went gluten free almost everytime I would eat my face and chest would get really flushed. I have always wondered if it was an intolerance to MSG. It would happen especially after eating a lot of finger foods or fast food. Which was pretty much every day. Now I am eating mainly veggies, fruit, rice, beans. I notice it doesn't happen as much.
  3. How do you avoid eating MSG. It is everywhere? I would love to eliminate as much MSG from my diet as I can. What foods do you eat?
  4. I thought that the chili I was eating was gluten free. Turns out it was not. Today I have a horrible headache, my face hurts, I am extremely tired and my chest has a flutter/tickle in it. Are these normal symptoms of being glutened?
  5. Thanks everyone! Like I said I have horrible anxiety. And I do mean horrible. My mother in law works at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer center in Nashville. We had a family get together on Sunday night. My husband's grandmother had noticed how much weight I had lost. My mother in law then goes on to freak out and tell me that wasn't good and that is the first sign...
  6. I am going on a month Gluten Free now. I have lost about 15 pounds this month. I am overweight so 15 pounds isn't uncommon when I have gone on diets in the past. But I know this is not a diet. It is a way of life now. I was just wondering if it is common to lose some weight. Plus I have bad anxiety so I haven't been eating a lot anyways. I am hoping the anxiety...
  7. I am on day six of gluten-free. Although yesterday I am pretty sure I had some gluten in the meal my mother-in-law made me. I have tried going online to different websites to find what has gluten and what doesn't. Everything is so conflicting. So pretty much my diet for 6 days, with the exception of yesterday, has been rice (plain), chex cereal (dry), lettuce...
  8. I have seen a lot of posts about different vitamins you should be taking when you go gluten free. Right now I take a multi vitamin, a probiotic and flax seed oil capsules. Is there anything else that is important for people on a gluten free diet to take? I am new at this. I am on my 6th day of gluten free.
  9. Just talked to Sandoz and found out the Promethazine is gluten free. Now just waiting to hear back from Kremers about the Omeprazole.
  10. There are 4 drugs that I take daily. One is Sertraline manufactured by Greenstone. I found they are gluten free on the gluten free list. Also Clonazepam manufactured by Mylan I found on the list as gluten free. I also take Omeprazole manufactured by Kremers. I have tried calling and emaling them with no response. Does anyone know if it is gluten free? I also...
