  1. My son has been gluten free for 3 years. This was on the recommendation from an occupational therapist. His stomach improved immediately. He used to vomit quite a few times during the year (non viral), and the rash on his elbows and knees disappeared. Since that time I feel I have done a lot of research on celiac, and wish I knew to have him tested before...
  2. I've tried several from a few websites, but still have not found the perfect recipe. I would prefer a tried and true recipe using mainly almond flour. Can anyone help?
  3. I agree with rosetapper and tom. My understanding is that when you remove a food that your body rejects, other sensitivities are likely to surface as well. I tried reintroducing dairy 2 weeks ago... bad idea, because I felt awful after a few days. I hope you start to feel better soon!
  4. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I figured I would start here. My kids and I are gluten and dairy free. I feel that removing these foods from our diet has helped all of us. We have also suspected a fish allergy (not intolerance) in my daughter because she reacted the last two times she had it. Her blood test came back fine, but...
  5. Thank you so much for your response Skylark. I think I am more frustrated with myself for 2 reasons. 1. Because I went gluten free without any diagnosis. But in my defense, I find that most doctors try to treat my symptoms rather than find the cause. I didn't even start seeing a GI doctor for this reason, it was something else entirely. So I guess...
  6. Okay, So I had my follow up appt. today and it says: "Small bowel mucosa with slightly increased intraepithelial lymphocyes." I still don't know wether or not I am positive for celiac, but the doctor said based on my history it all 'fits together'. However he did not make an official diagnosis. Guess I feel about as confused as I did before. I hesitate...
  7. Personally I would find another doctor, regardless of whether or not you get tested for celiac. Sounds like bad 'bedside' manner on her part. You trusted your instincts, went gluten free, and it worked in your favor. You know your body best, and if gluten free works for you, your doctor should be receptive to that. Welcome to the forum, I am new...
  8. Forgive me if this has been talked about already. I am curious to know how people have determined their other food sensitivies or allergies? I took my son to an allergist about 2 years ago, and he refused to test for food allergies saying that we would know if he had a 'true' allergy. For myself, I spent about $600 (ouch)on the (Company Name Removed -...
  9. I wonder how Spaghetti squash compares to eating gluten free pasta??? If anyone has any experience, I'd love to hear your thoughts on texture and taste!
  10. I know that you either have celiac or you don't... but let me explain my situation. I went gluten free back in September because I had horrible eczema/itchy blisters on my hands. To my amazement, my hands cleared up! I figured I had a gluten intolerance and the thought of being a celiac did not cross my mind. When I began having stomach problems, my doctor...
