  1. I got really lucky in finding my diagnoses also. I was getting a full work-up from a back specialist for my extreme muscle spasms. Muscle relaxers and naproxen weren't even touching it. The doc found a softball size bubble in my stomach and just so happen to suggest I might be gluten Intolerant. So I was like "what is that?" and "so what are you gonna...
  2. I could live off Sugar!! Try to eat only 1 sweet treat a day. If you eat a lot of sugar daily you may go through sugar withdraws for awhile, but eventually you may notice that you are thinking about it less often and even go days without it. I love Peanut Butter mixed with Honey, Bananas and Peanut Butter, LARA Bars (flavors blueberry muffin and Chocolate...
  3. I get extremely irritable a while after I've been glutened for some reason. Today it happened after I had a fountain drink of Diet Dr. Pepper. After consuming gluten I get immediate symptoms in my fingertips. They turn white and feel cold and numb almost like there is no circulation. Then a few hours later I felt the irritated about everything.
  4. KU Med have specialists. I wonder if they would have celiac doc. I went to a great GI doc too but he didn't have much to offer me in advice with my celiac when I went for my follow-up after being diagnosed in biopsy. His only suggestion was taking Allign for my gut...some follow up. I should've saved my $25 copay for my Primary care Physician which he referred...
  5. There are soooo many products with the gluten free label that aren't really gluten free. I get so mad at companies just trying to jump on the gluten free bandwagon to make a buck! Check out the unsafe ingredients list on celiac.com.
  6. I was diagnosed march 2012 with Celiac and at first felt amazing after a few months of going gluten free(or what I thought was gluten free). The first thing that you said was about the small modification in your diet alarmed me. Gluten is in everything now days. I still think I'm consuming it unknowingly or I know I must be because I struggle with symptoms...
  7. Thank you so much. Very helpful. Just diagnosed in March this year and I'm glad to have found these Boards for chat!
  8. I need to go back to doctor about my ears and jaw. I'm a little burnt out on going to doctors. Anyone experience this along with severe neck and back spasms?
  9. All three pregnancies I struggled with extreme nausea and looked and felt like I had the flu my entire pregnancy. My doctor had to put me on Zofran so that I could keep down food and not feel sick all day. None of the other suddel remedies worked for me. Hopefully it will pass for you.
