    I'm scheduled for next colonoscopy in February. First one in August was so awful, as many may remember. Spent 4 hours in recovery room sick as a dog - severely dehydrated.     Thanks for suggestion of eliminating corn and trying nettle tea. I have remained gluten, soy and dairy free since June 25th. I don't eat corn in general, but it could be in some other foods.     I learned SO much here and thank you all for help with the journey. I finally saw a GI (who is great). She did a genetics test for Celiac and it was negative. Also did SIBO test and was positive. Lots of bacterial overgrowth. I went on Xiflacin for 10 days and then my tongue started to swell so had to go off but she thinks it was likely long enough anyway...

    Been taking digestive enzymes every time I eat! *Digest Gold* I know I'm not digesting properly. The PCP tested my vitamin levels and only D came up low and I've been taking heavy dose of D (prescribed). At least I don't think anything else was low. It's hard to get her to tell me exactly what she has tested. Mood, sleep and hair definitely affected...

    Yeah-it's exactly like that. Nothing seems to sit well. I did use olive oil instead of vegetable oil this time. I ate this same meal about and week ago and didn't have the same reaction then. No spices but the sweet pots weren't organic either time. Sure did me in though and not going to take a chance again. :-(

    After viewing the photo's I am thankful to report that my rash is nothing like DH. It's definitely a allergic rash: flat, itchy and similar to very dry skin.     Very helpful! I hadn't connected the dots to other things going on in my body, like sleep problems, gums being more sensitive, headaches, sinus problems (I been sick a lot the last 2 years and that baffled me!), cloudy memory ... etc! I know that not all of this is necessarily related, but some simply has to be. I'm leaning towards waiting on endoscopy...

    Oh - one more question. The PCP told me to take Prilosec twice a day as well as Align twice a day. Expensive, not covered by insurance so I just want to know what the consensus here is. I've been taking both for 2+ weeks. Reflux is better but not sure what the probiotics are doing, if anything.

    Okay, thanks for clarifying, I was confused! I have had severe vitamin deficiencies for years and have had to be treated. I have trouble with C - makes me sick (surprise!). Any forms that will not create reaction, allergy or vomiting? I don't know how to get my doc to test me for vitamin deficiencies. She's increasingly hostile because I'm "pushing" issues...

    Vitamin D can cause weight gain? If I'm not absorbing properly it can cause weight gain? How can I stabilize my system? Should I take the vitamins or not take them? I think my body is in trouble and this has been "brewing" for a long time....
