  1. Thanks for all the great ideas:) I will have to go shopping and try them all:D
  2. I would like to make my own chicken tenders. I usually used ww flour with cornmeal and spices. what would be a good sub for the ww flour? I have coconut flour and almond flour, would one of those work?
  3. Hi! I am so sorry that you are struggling so much, and feeling unwell. I am very new to this as well, so I won't be much help, just wanted to say hello and send you a hug! I've been gluten-free for less than a week with significant improvement in my symptoms. Yesterday I got sick again, probably from soy in some sausage patties, so I can feel your...
  4. thanks:) I thought it sounded silly LOL But I would like to try grass fed just for the reasons you stated. I already do the free range organic chicken Boy is my grocery bill high
  5. So I went to the health food store to stock up on some gluten-free snacks today. The lady working there told me that I should only buy grass-fed beef, as the grains that the regular steer eat will gluten me. Any logic to this? i did have regular steak the other night with no effects.
  6. Honestly, I would not be able to work after eating gluten or whatever. Even if I could physically show up, mentally I'd be useless. You are not a wuss!
  7. LOL No pregnancy possible here, my baby equipment was removed 10 years ago (I'm 45 now) I will get myself a notebook at the store today and start keeping a journal. Also I need to research the sausage, if there is no gluten then maybe I am sensitive to something else, or I just ate too fast or something.
  8. I got sick a little while after breakfast this morning, nausea and vomited once. I made a breakfast sammie with an Udi's bagel, Boar's Head Horseradish cheddar, one egg, and a couple of those Jimmy Dean frozen pre-cooked sausage patties. The sausage ingredients seemed fine, the only suspicious thing is soy protein. Could I be sensitive to that as well...
  9. Well I finally found a shampoo and conditioner that actually tames my wild curly frizzy hair, so I think for now I'll chance it. Now to find some gluten free lip balm, which I use costantly, lol
  10. An APP? Do tell, what's it called so I can get it too?
  11. So, been reading about how I also need to avoid gluten in my shampoo/conditioner, lotions, etc. Is Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein safe, or is that gluten? It's so confusing!!!
  12. I don't know if I can go back. I took two sips of a beer last night, totally forgetting about the gluten thing, and feel so sick today. D, headache, fatigue, the whole nine yards. It really sucks that you have to purposely make yourself ill to get a diagnosis, you would think that they could find a different method or something. Since I am extremely broke...
  13. Thank you! Great idea:) It's just lately the cravings got really bad, I usually don't have much trouble. Since I figured out that gluten is probably my enemy, though, I don't really want that stuff as much, lol. Hopefully things willl get better and better now and with this board's help, I'm sure it won't be too bad.
  14. that scares me, going back to eating what was essentially causing all my misery. How long do you think I would have to do that before any tests? Just a guesstimate;) If I am going to pay for these tests, I want an accurate result. Thanks so much for your time and the warm welcome!
  15. Thank you everyone. I will for sure be reading labels very very closely and doing some baking experiments. I usually eat low-carb pitas and lavash bread and that doesn't spike my blood sugar too much, only lately I've been running higher. Last couple of days is an improvement and I hope to see more normal numbers soon. I did eat a gluten free bagel this...
  16. Hello:) I am a type 2 Diabetic on medication and diet/exercise regimen. Recently I started feeling nauseous and even vomited a few times, always after eating something with gluten in it.I have also been having a hard time controlling my blood sugar and have been craving bad things like Italian bread, cookies, and cake, EEEEK!! For the past 8 years...
